White House/black Market
As the name suggests, all clothes in this store are either black or white. They have some great items, most of which you do not see in the major department stores. The prices are good for the unique things you can find.

The Childrens Place Store 1041
This is a great palce to buy children's clothing. It has good quality fun clothes that your kids will want to wear. It is similar in style and selection to Gymboree, but the prices are much lower!

Onion Blossoms Inc
This women's boutique has some very unique items. Clothing and accesories are one of a kind here. Prices are high as you would expect for itmes that cannot be found elsewhere. Service is friendly.

Driskill Hotel
This is a nice upscale hotel conveniently located in downtown Austin. It is very close to all the restaurants and entertainment on 6th street. It is first class all the way.

Embassy Suites Hotel
This hotel is conveniently located off I 35 in Austin. It is nice and clean and it is a great spot to stay on football weekends. We have always found the service to be good and the stay to be comfortable.

Platos Closet Mason Road
Platos closet is a great resale shop specializing in name brand apparel for teens. You really have to look through things closely, but you can find some great buys on Abercrombie t-shirts and jeans. There is a lot more girl merchandise than boy clothing.

La Quinta Inn-Southwest
We stayed in this hotel with a group of junioir high students on a church retreat. We found it to be clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and the price was right.

Barry's Pizza & Italian Diner
This is a good restaurant where the pizza is a cut above the chain delivery places. I have not tried many other things there, but the antipast salad was also delicious.

Avalon Diner
This is a fun little spot to grab lunch in the River Oaks area. The burgers are great. It has an old time soda shop feel and is a favorite for the locals.

Touch Of Kindness
This is not your ordinary Day Spa location. It is simply a room in an office building where you can get a wonderful massage. She has hot stones and everything. It is very clean and comfortable. Price is reasonable.
