Close and convenient and the owner is always friendly and helpful. Not much of a wine selection, but a good variety of beers. I love that they always have my favorite beer, Blue Moon in stock.
Sussex Inn
Especially for the quaint atmosphere. Very varied menu. A nice atmosphere without being stuffy or pretentious. I loved my veggie burger and my husband enjoyed a good cut of steak.
Mill Creek Boutique
Neat boutique located as you enter Vernon on Rt. 515. Some home & garden decorative goods, but mostly high quality and unique women's clothing and accessories. Prices on this season's apparel are not cheap, but they have a great sale rack.
Allwood Ice Cream Corner
Great local ice cream store near the Allwood Theater. Good stop after a movie. Good sundaes available and reasonable prices. Parking nearby, but can be tough on a Saturday night when a popular movie is playing.
Hanna Krauses Home Made Candies
Great homemade chocolates, tons of selections. It's an easy find right on Route 20. The chocolate covered strawberries are always a hit with any crowd.
Stewarts Rootbeer
Great comfort food. A throw back, nostalgic feel. Of course the root beer is awesome, but so are the burgers. Their fries are some of my favorites.
International Auto Body
The prices are good and they will give you a free loaner car when they are available. They also operate in conjunction with the nearby Ramsey Auto Corp.
Courtside Pub
Courtside Pub (formerly known as Domyon's) is a very unique bar, set courtside to a old basketball hall. We rented the facility for a steal for my father, a former coach's, 70th birthday. They were gracious and accommodating. They have leagues and gym times available for those looking for court time. Tough to find down a narrow, Botany section street. Parking available across the street.
Pennings Farm Market
Great fall fun. The pick-your-own orchards, farm animals, swing sets, cider and donuts are the perfect combo for a fun-filled afternoon. You can call ahead to find out which apple types are ripe.
San Remo Pizzeria
Nothing fancy here, just great pizza and subs. Everytime I visit my parents' house in Clifton, the thought of ordering one of their chicken parm subs crosses my mind. Perfectly toasted rolls and a great sweet sauce.
