Toni's Bakery & Cafe
I don't usually like to meet in cafe's because I'm not a fan of coffee. However I love Toni's. The service is fantastic and I love the tea and cakes. I also really enjoyed the location. It was relaxing and I have made this a permanent meeting place with my friends.
Baby Toytown 4 Kids Only
We live in such a corporate world that it is hard to find a business that still operates with the kindness and sincerity that many family owned businesses do. I went to Baby Toytown to look for a stroller and left with so many other cute things for my nephews new room. The service was outstanding and you knew that the owners really cared about the customers.
Rockin' Baby Shop
I looked everywhere to find my cousin a baby wrap for her to carry her baby. Its all she talked about and wanted. Rockin Baby Shop has amazing styles and my cousin says she loves hers. She actually loves it so much that she has been going on line and ordering them for her friends. This is a rare find and everyone looking for a special gift should check this place out!
John Gogian Family Foundation
I have been working with the John Gogian Family Foundation for almost three years. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful this foundation is. When I first met them they spent a lot of time talking with us about the at-risk kids we work with, our programs and our projects. They really took the time to get to know us and have helped our organization provide the services our kids really need. I especially like when I call and update them throughout the year how everyone is aware of our agency and the work we do. I applaud this foundation and the wonderful work they do!
The California Wellness Foundation
The mission of The California Wellness Foundation is to improve the health of the people of California by making grants for health promotion, wellness education and disease prevention. I have worked with this foundation since I started working with non-profits in L.A. They are wonderful to talk with and take the time to discuss the projects and programs that you are working on in the community. If you are able to partner with this foundation you will not regret it!!
Ceniza Cigar Lounge
Ceniza is a place you can go to relax and enjoy some time with your friends. The atmosphere is everything you would want in a cigar lounge plus they have great cigars. Whether you are looking for a favorite brand or want to try something new Ceniza has it.
The best part about this company is the owners. Tony and Mario run a classy business and still make it a priority to give back to the community. I randomly approached them to help with an event benefiting homeless kids and they quickly jumped on board. They really helped make the event a success and didn't ask for anything in return. I applaud these guys and would recommend Ceniza Cigar Lounge to everyone I know!
Women Helping Youth
Women Helping Youth (W.H.Y.) was created in 2006 by Jill Weintraub, Moira Tenzer, and Debbie Schermer. This womens philanthropic organization was established to help children in need in the greater Los Angeles area. They joined up with local organizations helping kids in need and created a grant program to specifically help these organizations reach project orientated goals.
It is rare and special to meet people in this field that genuinely care about the cause they are fighting for. I feel fortunate to be working with WHY and highly applaud the group of women that make up Women Helping Youth.
Vitamin A Films
This is a new production company that everyone should keep there eye on. Partners Warren and Paul are business savy creative people who already have five feature films in the works. I have worked with Paul on numerous projects and have met with Warren a handful of times. Both guys are very talented and hardworking. Anyone able to work with this up and coming production company would be very lucky!
Curves
I joined Curves in New Jersey and was so happy to find one close to my new home in Los Angeles. Right away I was welcomed by the other women at this Curves and actually look forward to going to the Gym now (well, almost everyday)! As always Curves has a very unique system that I believe can work for anyone.
Higher Ed Loans
I had never worked with a loan company before and I can not say enough good things about School Loans Corp. I worked with Ninad who was so helpful and patient during the whole process. This can be a stressful time and it so important to have a company who is working in your best interest. I would recommend them to everyone!
