Grunions is kind of run down. The floor is sticky and dirty, and it smells like spilled beer. The service is OK. It's hard to get them to turn on your game and the sound,
Mr. Pockets has so many tables I can't count. It's huge in there. The tables are more on the new side, as well as the sticks, so you can shoot a good game. They have a bar and a few other games.
There isn't any special about PV Bowl. It's a regular bowling alley, with approx 10 lanes, a snack bar, some video games and a bar. The prices are good and the staff are nice.
Lucilles has really great, lean baby back ribs. They have good hot links too. The baked beans are very authentic. It's a very Southern BBQ style place. The prices are on the high side. It's in a terrible location on the corner of the mall. Terrible parking!
This place has the best prices for a massage. It's not fancy, but who needs that. I can usually call and get an appointment for the same day and massages are only $29 for a student and $39 for a graduate. It always seems like there are only graduates available, but that's still a good deal. They charge $10 more for deep tissue.
Most spas cater only to woman and make it uncomfortable for men. But men love massages too. Du Bunne has a nice outdoor Jacuzzi where you can meet up with your wife. they also have a private outdoor area for couples massages. Good prices for all extras.
Vans are so classic, and they never go out of style. I wore them as a kid, teenager, and now as an adult. This Vans store is pretty small and so it's kind of hard to find. It's off of the south-west corner of Crenshaw and Torrance Blvd. They always have the latest styles to choose from in most sizes.
Steves is the classic charbroler hamburger joint. They have the best tasting (and sometimes greasy) food. The burgers are really great, especially the shredded lettuce. They have awesome fried zucchini with ranch dressing. It's making me hungry just thinking about it. I think I'll go to Steve's for dinner.
Y Not is fast food, but much better than McDonalds or Burger King. It's more in the style of the charbroiler hamburger places. They have burgers, and sandwiches, and chicken, and fries, and breakfast. The onion rings are oh so greasy and oh so good! It's fast enough, but not lighting fast.
Vinces reminds me of a restaurant that they might film the Sapranos in. It's a classic dark Italian style restaurant. The food is pretty good. It's all the usual Italian cuisine: Spaghetti (of course), ravioli, lasagna (my favorite) and more. The service is a little slow, but nice.
