This is our favorite hotel to stay when in this area. It located on a bluff overlooking the ocean, just beautiful. The grounds reflect the natural environment, feels and looks like a natural reserve. There steps that lead down to the beach or you can climb the rocks down. The rooms are very nice, we had a fireplace, the room is very clean and orderly. There is a board walk attached as part of the inn with little shops to get gifts, movies, moonstone. The restaurant is excellent. No need to leave this area if you don't want. However there is lots to do in San Simeo and Cambria. Hearst Castle and the elephant seals would be two items to check out. Highly recommend a visit here.
My husband and son like to eat breakfast here after surfing. The food is very good at decent prices. Tiny inside. Easily overlooked if not careful and parking can be scarce because it close to the beach.
Location here is more the attraction than the food. Can't go wrong when near the beach. Cute place to take the kids to get a burger and milkshake. Parking can be an issure during summer because of the surrounding businesses.
This is the best diner in the South Bay area. A fifties style diner with pictures and advertisements from World War ll decorating its walls. Ric the owner is super friendly. All the service workers are friendly and efficient. The food is super. Their french toast is a knockout. This diner is very, very clean. This is no secret to the locals so it gets busy. Would recommend to everyone.
Great little shop for men. Beautiful old school shaving equipment and new too. We looked high and low to find an assortment to choose from and for the shaving soaps that go into the shaving mugs. My husband loved his gift. Would definitely recommend.
This restaurant is fusion of American meets South American and Cuban food. Very Good! Prices are great. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in South America. The service is super friendly. They also have live music. We heard a flamenco fusion band. Great talent. Afterwards you are further rewarded by walking right onto the sand for a beach stroll. So romantic! I would recommend to everyone.
If you love great live jazz music and Northern Italian food this is the place for you. The food is very, very good. Fun atmosphere. If you are looking for a new experience try Spaghettinis. Service is friendly and very good. Plenty of parking. Can get very busy.
This is a cute out of the way cafe. My friends raved about this spot so I checked it out. It is very good. My husband liked the Santa Fe type salad. The service is friendly. Parking can be tight. Other cute shops to visit when in this area.
This museum catapults you to another time. I truly got lost in time viewing all the artifacts from the early Etruscan, Greek and Roman era. One of my favorite displays is the the jewelry and coins. The grounds are just beautiful not to mention the breath taking view of the ocean. Much of the mosaic tile collection is exquisite. There was much attention to detail, structural and otherwise in reproducing the villa. The eateries are very good. Tickets are free, however must be reserved a few months in advance.
This is one of those fun stores that you have to check out the accessories for home decorating. It is very eclectic in here. Styles and designs can range from trendy, to ethnic, old world and contemporary. Its fun shopping for everyone.
