Oh man, I love this place! Definitely the BEST tortillas i've had. Anything you get is going to be good, so don't worry. The queso is pretty darn good so be sure not to miss out on that. Rosa's is a real laid back kinda place so it's a great place to go with a bunch of friends on a Friday night. Prices are very resonable.
If you're looking for a REAL sushi joint, this is it. It's located between to pubs and is VERY small. So, if you're planning to go with any kind of a normal size group of people, expect to wait a little while. Everything about this place is authentic. The wait staff speaks only enough English to get by and all the signs on the wall are in Japanese. They are very kind and will serve you with upmost enthusiasm, never missing a beat. If it's busy, I urge you to not be so "American" and rant and rave about how long it's taking. I guarantee it is worth the wait. I don't eat sushi, but my husband said that it was the best he'd ever had. And it looked amazing. Presentation was gorgeous.
There is no doubt that College Flowers is probably the best florist in town... and there's no doubt that they know that. The shop itself is beautiful and sucks you right in to paying whatever they ask. If you're shopping for Valentine's Day or a special occasion bouquet then go here. If you're looking for someone to do the flowers for your wedding? Unless you feel like spending $5-6 grand just on the flowers, you might want to check some other places out.
If you've never heard anyone talk about Vida's cakes, then you must not live in Lubbock, TX. If you're getting married and you're looking for a cake... look no further. Her prices are high, but the cakes are unbelievably good. I mean, these things are magical. Vida is so much fun to work with and will make your cake a masterpiece!
Who doesn't love a good local bakery where everything is made fresh from scratch?!? If you need a cake for a special occasion or are just looking for a yummy snack, this is your place. The cookies are delectable and the prices are fair. This is just a good old fashion business that serves great baked goods. You can't go wrong.
The best thing about United is definitely the staff. I never have to take my own groceries out to my car, even if it's one bag! Everyone is always so friendly and very presentable. This place is very clean and easy to navigate through.
This kind of place is becoming more popular now, but when I first discovered it I was in awe. You paint your own pottery! They've got plates, mugs, ornaments, bowls, serving dishes, frames, figurines, you name it! All you have to do is pick out what you want to paint and find a seat. You can have them do something for you or you can do it all yourself (that's the best way). There are all kinds of paints, stencils, books for ideas, and much more. This place is a MUST for any kind of party or get together you might be planning. It's something different and so much fun! Prices vary by what you choose to paint.
This place has great authentic mexican food. The atmospere is very festive and the food is really, really good. Everything is made fresh so you can get it any way you like it. Prices are great, i think, and the service is prompt. This is a serve yourself kinda place so don't expect anyone to wait on you.
Armadillo Camera is the only place to get your camera needs met. The staff is extremely knowledgable and willing to help you out of any jam. Their printing is unmatched, top of the line. Their prices are a little higher, but if you're buying a camera, try to make a deal with them. This is a family business, not Circuit City. They want you to have great equipment AND know how to use it.
This is a little place most people don't notice unless you're a local. Really yummy food and excellent service. I almost always get the quesadilla, but everything looks so good. You have to get their queso. It has a little different taste to it that makes is oh so delicious. Prices are great. I can usually get outta there for $10 or less.
