Great little place in the village. They have pastries and tarts, sandwiches, salads and you must try their quiche. They have a variety of desserts and smoothies as well. We always grab a little something when down here.
This is a small salon but they always seem to be busy. Parking is a bit difficult to find but it is near the beach so parking is just one of the issues you have to deal with. Staff are friendly.
This office is impressive in that they have all the state of the art equipment. But buyer beware! We did a consult on orthodontics and they told us that our daughter's mouth was too small and needed to be widened with a special retainer in order to make room for her to have braces later. They claimed that she had a speech impediment and would need therapy along with a list of other things we were going to need to do to "prep" for braces. After receiving their outrageous estimate for all of the work she would need we were in complete shock and couldn't believe we had missed all of this and let her get to this point!! I began making other consultations and the next two orthodontists we saw we waited to see what they had to say. Not one of them suggested she needed a special retainer to widen her mouth nor did any of them claim she had a speech problem. The final orthodontist I actually inquired about these items and he looked at me and said that what I was talking about was ridiculous and that he has seen other doctors make these claims in order to get more money for two phases of braces. He told that it is pointless to get braces until a child's permanent teeth have come in and that it is not necessary to "make room" and that you will not know this until all of their teeth have come in. I am so glad I got several consultations and did not take this initial visit as our only option. Do your homework. Ask questions and go to a reputable orthodontist that has been recommended by a friend or someone you know. We saved a lot of $$$!
A small office in Torrance but very clean and the staff are all friendly and personable. They have the latest in technology, but do not pass that expense along to their patients. For a dental cleaning they do not do the standard sit there and have your teeth scraped until your gums bleed procedure. They use a high powered water jet and you are in and out of there. My teeth feel just as clean as having had them scraped only they don't hurt afterwards. It's great for the kids too as it is a lot faster and it doesn't hurt at all.
Good place to go and get nuts and bolts and any other miscellaneous off the wall item you might need and not be able to find at your larger chain stores. It's just one of those neighborhood businesses that you can really feel good about shopping at.
This is a family owned business that sells tools for machinists and carries industrial supplies. My husband frequents this business and I have been dragged here on many occasion. They are really friendly in here and know their products. If you cannot find what you are looking for they will look it up for you and order it. Prices are reasonable. Their customer service really is outstanding and they get all of our business and a five star recommendation.
Their office is in a house that has been converted to offices so it can be easy to miss except for the fact that is on the corner of Palos Verdes Boulevard just inside of Sepulveda. Staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Their prices for procedures that are not covered by insurance are on the high side so be sure to clarify first what you are having done and what is covered first so that you can make a completely informed decision before and not afterwards.
I really like this dental office. They are all very friendly and have many hygienists on staff to work with your availability for appointments. There are no closed offices. You are facing outwards and not directly at anyone but you are in a bit of a fishbowl and can hear everything going on around you. Their prices, however are lower than other dental offices for procedures that are not covered by insurance.
Dr. Kardovich is very nice and speaks to the kids not to the parents during their visits, which my daughter really liked. Their office is really geared towards working with the kids. They have several offices and are at the offices on different days but they are all local so whichever one is closest to you will work.
They definitely have down home cooking here. Food is decent, prices are fair and the staff are nice.
