Leblon Brazilian Steakhouse

Greensboro, NC Steakhouses 03/05/08: 'A Carnivore's Dream'

The decor is pretty bare bones but when the gauchos start coming out with the swords and spits - who cares about decor.The salad bar was one of the best I have ever sampled. That alone would have been enough for me but when the meat started coming - it just kept coming and coming - everything is very good.The service was wonderful and if anyone walked away from there hungry, there was something terribly wrong with them. I loved the green and red buttons - green for "bring it on" and red for "uncle, uncle, I have had enough".For a special occasion, go to Leblon. For your typical Wednesday night, it might be a little pricey but for a fun night out, it can't be beat.

Five Guys Famous Burgers

Harrisonburg, VA Restaurants 03/05/08: 'Oh My!'

There is only one draw back here - if you order the "big un", you need a fork lift to get it to the table. I can't even begin to tell you what all you can get on your burger, but I truly believe that, I don't think anyone could come up with any burger topping that they don't have. If you are going with someone or maybe two someone's, just order a single order of fries. They put your sandwich in the bag and then fill the bag with fries. I have eaten there several times and have never not had to leave some fries.

Pho Ha Vietnamese Noodle

I always promise myself that the next time I eat at Pho Ha I will try something different - but I never do. I love D8. I can't pronounce the Vietnamese name but it's grilled pork over vermicelli and is wonderful. It's a one dish meal and all you would want to eat.

Staff is friendly, prices reasonable, location convenient and best of all - when you call for carryout - it is always ready when they promise.

Try Pho Ha, you will like it.

Thai Flavor Restaurant

Harrisonburg, VA Thai Restaurants 03/05/08: 'Wonderful Food'

We were somewhat surprised at the service when we ate at Thai Flavor. It couldn't have been better. I sometimes have trouble deciding on what I really want to eat - the young woman who waited on us asked what we liked - and then explained what was in the dishes we were interested in.

The food was wonderful - presentation was beautiful. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. If you haven't experienced Thai food - make this the first Thai restaurant you do experience.

I would highly recommend Thai Flavor.

Wright's Dairy Rite Inc

Staunton, VA Restaurants 03/05/08: 'Nostalgia At It's Best'

Love this place. We walked in and even though the place was full, we were waited on within minutes. The employees were friendly and made the whole experience a fun one.

I don't believe I have ever had onion rings as good the ones at Wright's. The burgers are good - everything was good.

I did get a little thrill - while looking around, I was reading a posted menu. I was wondering how they could sell some of the items so cheap until I noticed it was a 1958 menu. They have fun things like that all over the place. We especially liked the phones at the tables. You dial a certain number and place your order - how neat is that??

I highly recommend Wright's Dairy Rite.

Boston Beanery Restaurant

Harrisonburg, VA Restaurants 02/29/08: 'Love The Salads'

I live Boston Beanery for the salads. I recommend the steak salad -although I really don't like the fries mixed in - I ask for them on the side. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good. One thing - DO NOT order the iced tea - they really need to learn how to make tea. It is so weak, you think you are drinking colored water. I will have to admit that it is better than it used to be but still not good. Get the coffee, it is good.

If you want your pet well taken care of, Puppy Luv is the place for you. I would not use any other kennel in the area after taking my little to Puppy Luv. They take her, let her kiss them and they kiss her - I know she is good hands. When I pick her up, she is just as energetic as when I left her and just as clean. You can tell that the entire staff loves animals - it's not just a job. Thank you Puppy Luv!
