Absolutely Puppy
We purchased a Basenji puppy from Absolutely Puppies 5 years ago. She has now been diagnosed with Fanconi Syndrome - this is a dangerous genetic disease that is a type of kidney failure. We didn't know until after we received the transfer of AKC paperwork that her grandfather carried the disease and her parents did as well - they should never have been bred! Only a backyard breeder who does not care for the strength and health of the breed would be so careless - shame on you Absolutely Puppies for working with such people! They really do work with puppy mills and irresponsible breeders! Anyone who purchased a basenji in spring of 2003 - GET YOUR DOG TESTED! - her littermates most likely have this disease as well!
