York Endodontics
My regular dentist referred me to Dr. Isett when he could not perform a rather difficult root canal for me. York Endodontics is located in East York, very close to where I work, so it was 5 minutes away, and I didn't have to wait very long to see Dr. Isett. His professional staff handled the insurance paperwork, and I was on my way. I would go back to Dr. Isett is I needed to have that procedure done another time.
Reineberg's Shoes
Reinebergs Shoes carries many "better" brand name shoes. I don't have small children, but I'm told this is the best place in York to get good quality children's shoes. I like this store's location on Haines Road, because it is convenient for dropping off shoes to be repaired, and the staff is very nice there.
Shoe House
What a really interesting tour...the Shoe House was used as a bed and breakfast for Mr. Haines' guests, and there was room for a butler to wait on them. I loved the view from the "roof" of the shoe, and they had the most beautiful antique furnishings in the bedroom!
USA Optical Incorporated
I wear reading glasses when I use the computer, so I put them on and take them off quite frequently. Needless to say, they need to be adjusted alot. I purchased my frames from USA Optical a few years ago, but they don't mind fitting my glasses for me when I need to stop by. That's called service after the sale!
Aroma Buffett & Grill
Believe it or not, my family threw a surprise 50th birthday party for me at Aroma Buffet & Grill! I thought I was just going there for a great buffet meal, and surprise...friends and family from 2 hours away were there! Aroma Buffet's staff was awesome. They provided plates and forks for my custom birthday cake, and made sure everyone was taken care of at our tables. It really worked out great...everyone got something in the buffet they wanted to eat, and no one left hungry!
Susanne's Crafts
I absolutely love shopping in this store...they decorate it so nice, and I rarely leave without buying something! The owners are so friendly, and always talk to me when I shop there. If I'm looking for something in particular, they always listen and make suggestions. If you like, you can join Susanne's email or mailing list, and get advance notice of sales.
Hueter's Greenhouses
I was on my way to Rocky Ridge county park, and I saw what appeared to be a small flower farm. Upon closer inspection, Heuter's Greenhouse was really huge! It went on and on, and I kept finding plant after plant that I wanted to take home with me, but my car wouldn't hold them all! Their plants appear very healthy, and well taken care of. It was a pleasant surprise to come upon this place, and I will definitely go back when it's time to stock up on bedding plants. They are only open during the warmer months of the year.
Waltersdorff Lighting
I was trying to locate a replacement globe for an antique lantern. Waltersdorff didn't have the exact replica, but it was very close. No one else had anything similar to what I was searching for. The staff at Waltersdorff is always very helpful, and they know where the items I am looking for are located in the store.
Shoff Construction & Design
Shoff Construction & Design is now located at 217 5th St. in Irwin, PA. I have known Chuck Shoff a number of years, and he is a great guy! He has done business as a general contractor with my employer for numerous projects over the years. He takes on the smaller projects when the larger contracting firms don't want to be bothered with them. His prices are competitive, and he tries to keep a project within our budget when extras need to be added.
Locke's Flooring
I have no personal knowledge of how Steve Locke of Locke's Flooring is to work with from a customer's point-of-view. However, I was recently invited into his home in Shade Gap, PA, which I hadn't been in since I was a child. It gave me an idea of what he can do with an old farm house. I hardly recognized the house from the one years ago! What a nice job he did with the flooring! He has been in the residential and commercial flooring business since 1987, so he has the experience to transform your house into the home you want it to be!
