Gold Strike Casino
This is always a fun place for a getaway. This casino being a few miles from Vegas, is a lot less crowded. If you like to gamble and not have to fight over slot machines, or getting a place at the black jack tables, this would be the place for you. They even have $2 tables for some that don't gamble a lot. The rooms in the hotel are always nice and comfortable. I'd rather stay here than drive into Vegas and fight the crowds.

Magnolia Test Only Station
I took my truck into this station to get smog tested, and unfortunately, it didn't pass. I recently had a problem with the battery and the guy told me that it had messed up the computer and to let it run for a few days and to come back. The service guy was really nice, and actually looked sad for me. He felt really sorry to have to tell me that my truck didn't pass. He was really helpful to explain what might have been wrong. I will be going back in a few days and get it checked. I would recommend this station. The people are very friendly and helpful.

I've trusted my car repairs to Jesse's for many years. He has always been fair priced and honest. His shop has always tried to get my car fixed quickly. They stand behind their work too. If I've had to take it back, they guarantee their work.

Milillo's Pizza
They make really good pizza. Lots of cheese and meat. There pizzas are good size too. This family has been making their pizzas for years, and they have a busy place.

Richards Pizza
This is a classic place for pizza and stromboli steak sandwiches. I recently visited in Hamilton, and everytime I'm there, I have to eat at Richards. It hasn't changed much in years. The food is still really good. I took information home with me, so I can order steak sandwiches and have them shipped to me in California.

el Cajon Jewelry and Loan
I have shopped here for jewelry because they have a great selection of new and used jewelry. They have great prices on gold jewelry, and carry rings, necklaces, earrings, and watches. I bought a gold chain here for a really good price.
The staff is nice and friendly.

Del Mar Racetrack
I used to like this race track a lot and I'd go to the offtrack betting when there wasn't live racing going on. They charge to go into the off track betting facility, which other places do not, and sometimes, when another event is going on, there isn't enough parking for the race track people. Also, some of the employees are really rude and not service oriented.

Al's Santee Barber Shop
I've gone to Als shop several times and always get a good haircut. Al is a nice guy very personable. His shop is small, just a one man operation. He is fast, so if there's a line, you don't have to wait too long.

El Merendero Restaurant
Right next to Fairplex, you would almost miss this little mexican place if you haven't been there before. I've been going there since before they had a dining room. You can still walk up and order at the window and sit outside, or you can sit in their small dining room. This is good family restaurant. It's not fancy and the food is good and inexpensive. Good place for a quick meal.

El Merendero
great little mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy, but the prices are good and the food is authentic and tasty. I usually get their burritos and chips and salsa. The portions are good size for the price. It's a good place for families, and for quick meals.
