I work very close to this restaurant and have always wanted to give it a try. So I ordered take out one day. The staff was very friendly and warm. While I waited for my food the host brought me a cup of chai and we chatted a bit about my husband's culture (since he is also Indian) and his. I ordered dosa's and samosas and they were both delicious, although I would order one or the other because they both have the same filling inside ( I didn't know that because it was my first time trying the dosa's). Everything else on the menu sounds delicious!
The interior of the place is also very beautiful. After visiting and describing the place to my visit we both are excited to go back and have dinner there. I also think it looks very romantic and would make an excellent date spot.
The 20/20 dvd rental place is pretty good. They usually have the movies you wouldn't be able to find at like a Blockbuster. The selection is ok and you'll usually find good foreign titles, especially the Spanish ones.
Right on the Hollywood strip there is this Indian gifts store. There are many interesting items, like the small statues of gods and goddesses. There is a big assortment of incense. There is also some clothing sold here, the skirts are very pretty and colorful...I was looking for a Ganesh keychain and found it here.
The owner is very nice, very helpful for non-Indians interested in the culture.
This place might be known more for its pizza's and mediterranean sandwiches, like the chicken or beef souvlaki and gyro's, but I really enjoy their breakfast. For $3.85+ tax you get a really good breakfast, eggs, hasbrowns, toast and some really good coffee!
I like The Downbeat Cafe. I always get some kind of tea or hot chocolate, the coffee is also good. The atmosphere is very laid back and there are special events going on some nights.
Parking sucks though, if you can't find any metered parking you have to drive around looking for a spot.
Delicious mexican food. Everything on the menu is great.
The restaurant's interior is very nice and festive. Good place to come and have a celebratory lunch or dinner.
This community florist sells very nice flowers, especially carnations and roses. Very pretty arrangements for graduations, Mother's Day or birthday's.Besides flowers, they rent out tables and chairs here.
We stayed here for our trip to Solvang. It sits on top a hill and the views are pretty but not spectacular, the freeway is still in the way. The rooms are clean and the furniture inside is very nice. The staff is friendly. It's about 25 minutes from Solvang, so it's not bad to stay there for the night and spend your day in Solvang.
Every room in Topaz Lodge has a view of the beautiful Topaz Lake. The rooms are very nice and feel so comfortable. I'm not into the casino aspect of Nevada but when I came here in the winter, it was a place for relaxation and rest. It's about 40 minutes from Lake Tahoe.
They also have pet friendly rooms, however there isn't much of a pet friendly area outside; there's a small section by some of the parking slots and that's it because pets are not allowed in the big area right in front of the rooms.
There ae so many beautiful sari's here. I purchased two on one occasion, perfect for the mandhir or wedding. Everyone loves them, everytime I wear them I receive so many compliments and they want to know where I got them from. I would come here and compare the prices to the other sari shops on Pioneer Blvd, they're good.
