Dr. Frino is a wonderful dentist - friendly, the wait isn't usually very long, he gets you in and out quickly, and does a good job. His office is pretty conveniently located, and there is ample parking.
This place has an excellent selection and delicious food - it's price range is something of a drawback, so in that sense it isn't a family restaurant. Just be sure that if you have a gift certificate, you plan to use the whole thing...
it's pretty, to be sure, but you can find plenty of pretty california coast without paying eight dollars and fifty cents to drive on fairly poorly labeled roads through neighborhoods of monstrously huge homes for just glimpses of the coast. the tree is a joke - it's POTTED! the only thing really worth while is the sight of the sea lions off the coast at one of the stops.
as a tourist, this was all you could ask for in a chinese restaurant in china town, san fransisco. our whole family was able to sit together and we ate fairly cheaply for a group of fourteen. this place has been visited by dozens of celebrities, the interior is gorgeous, and the food is delicious - well worth it!
The company has been running these trips since 1962, and every minute is wonderful fun for the whole family. Our family of six went white water rafting for the first time, and we got soaked and tired...but it was wonderful just the same.
This site is a working archeological dig site of an ancient sinkhole, into which multiple mammoths and other extinct mammals fell. The tour takes you around the site; there is a fascinating (hands-on!) museum downstairs, and a chance to see the labs in which the bones are more carefully examined. A wonderful stop for the whole family!
it is an original to be sure. it may not be the most beautiful or historic landmark in south dakota, but you can't say you've seen the state til you've seen this! It was built in 1892, and, though several different building have been constructed over the years, the one that stands today was built in 1921. This structure has been exteriorly AND interiorly (above the basketball arena inside) redecorated using dyed corn husks, grains and grasses all from south dakota nearly every year. It's fun to see - it won't really take that much time.
For a family from the east coast, we were thrilled with the performance, even if we were there the night that just the professional bull riders, and it wa pouring rain!
When we went to visit my uncle, he took us out here - the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was quite unique, designed after a monastery. The only drawback was its expense.
This farm is our family's favorite spot for pumpkin picking every year - we go for the hay rides and donuts and farm animals and swing sets and, of course, pumpkins!
