White House Subs Pick Up
WOW! The cheese steaks are better than I have had in Philly! What a treasure . . . worth the "map quest" to find it. Parking on the street is tough, but it is worth the walk and worth the wait. On a nice day you can eat outside in the small park across the street. Got time? Wait for a table inside. There are two lines, one to eat in and one for take out so don't let the line out the door keep you away! The bread is amazing and baked up the street!
Wood Funeral Home
With the untimely passing of a loved one, the members of this caring and supportive funeral home were so helpful and compassionate. This is a family owned business that has been around for a long time. They welcome you in and guide you through the most difficult decisions in a most professional manner.
The best way I can find to thank these people is to recommend their services here.
B Smith's Restaurant
B. Smith's on Restaurant Row serves a menu featuring B.'s interpretations of cuisines from around the world. The bar is almost always bustling for happy hour.
Sunday Brunch, served until 3pm, features a selection of gourmet omelets and Pan Scrambled Eggs, Sweet Potato Pancakes, French Toasted Butter Crackle Brioche and a Petrossian Smoked Salmon Platter.
And yes, this is the same B. Smith you see on TV!
Sardi's Restaurant
If you are going to a matinee in NYC, you have to lunch at Sardi's. What a tradition! For years, the walls have been filled with drawings of the many celebrities who have dined here.
It is in the heart of New York's Theater District. Sardi's has been the toast of Broadway for 82 years.
The food is continental cuisine, traditional yet innovative, It is creativite and tastefully presented!
Make reservations for dinner! Everyone wants to eat and be seen here!
Port Hole Cafe
My favorite sandwich here is the roast beef sandwich on a hard roll! Wow! Hot roast beef gravy and sweet peppers make this a "don't miss" sandwich! The cheesesteaks are good too! Love crispy hot fries with your sandwich? Well, go and order those, too!
Many locals know this is the place to be during the summer and after the Annual Christmas parade in early December. Join the crowd and have some lunch at the Port Hole Cafe!
Greenhouse Cafe
I have probably eaten here more than anywhere else on LBI. Everything is good on the menu! In season, you can always get soft shell crabs. Yum! All year 'round their veal shanks are consistently the best in the area. Chowder is award winning, just look at the awards around the dining room! There is always a wonderful quiche of the day, and their special board is always full of new things to try!
This is a BYOB restaurant, so take along your favorite wine for dinner. The staff will graciously uncork the bottle and keep the wine coming throughout your meal.
Check it out before the summer crowds come back!
Jayson's Pancake House
This is my favorite breakfast stop in the summer on LBI. The food is always fresh and hot. The waitresses are pretty and always cheerful no matter how busy the restaurant gets! This family owned business is known for its delicious pancakes and its special "Jumbo" breakfast. I dare you to eat the whole thing!
Aunt Sarahs Pancake House
What sweet little waitresses here! Breakfast was hot and plentiful. We kept going back for the hot coffee and kind service. Like pancakes and eggs? Stop here! Cute little shop in front if you are passing through and want a souvenir!
bistro bethem
This restaurant is in the heart of historic Fredericksburg. Here you will be served the freshest fish on the market, wild game specialties, house made charcuteries, breads and desserts to die for! Have you ever had veal cheeks? I have, and it was here, and it was wonderful.
While staying in Fredericksburg, we loved the food here so much, we tried to make another reservation for Saturday night and unfortunately they were already booked completely! We did come back for dessert and coffee that next night at the bar!
An amazingly knowledgeable staff who truely add to the dining experience!
Bosland's Flower Shop
I have been purchasing flowers from Bosland's for the last 40 years! The faces in the shop may have changed but the service has always been the best! From weddings, to proms, to birthdays, to anniversaries, and sadly, even family funerals, I have continuously done business with only this Florist. The people here are so kind and professional. Their designer is so talented!
