Wilson Auto Repair
This place has been around a while because they do quality work. Had an oil leak and they fixed that and informed me the brakes were in bad shape so I told them to go ahead and replace them too. Ended up costing more that I had planned, but I figure it was better to have new brakes than have them go out while driving. Nice clean shop and friendly staff.
Yahoo Baking Co
I get cakes here almost every year for Christmas. They like fruit cakes except it's just cake cherries, chocolate chips and pecans. They have a lot of other flavors too. I got really good chocolate cake last year. Staff is very helpful.
Micro Center Inc
I've been shopping here for years. They have almost everything there is for PCs and loads of software. The prices are good and even better when sales or clearances are on.
Knuckleheads
Nice small place with old style wooden pic-nick tables for seating of about 50. The beef is tender as is the chicken. There's salads and sausage too. If you ride a motorcycle, you can get the oil changed while you pig out on the good eats.
United Artist UA Galaxy Stadium 10
They have a small game area and the usual concession. They boast of having the largest screen in Texas, but I don;t know for sure. The nice thing is they have a small theater where they show special films like operas and concert films periodically
Cinemark Hollywood USA Movies 15
Older multiple theater complex with Hollywood decor of older movie star posters and such. They do have pizza slices besides the regular snacks, and a game area. The screens are smaller than the newer ones and they show films that have left the newer ones. The best thing is the ticket price, $1.00 and after 6 p.m. $1.50 (FRI&SAT $1.75) and on Tuesdays $.50 all day and night.
Cinemark Legacy
This place has two DLP (Digital Light Processing) projection theaters. The largest screen, number 13, is a huge stadium auditorium and the upper rows have LEATHER seats. A film in DLP has no trash on the screen and the colors are brilliant.
Angelika Cafe
This was a first for me. You can have snack or sandwich and sit at a table before going into the show or take certain items into the theater. They have all the drinks as well as some beer and wine and coffee. Nice option if you want to eat just before or in the theater.
Angelika Theater
An upscale theater with attitude. There are 5 auditoriums, somewhat small, but very comfortable seating. They specialize in independent an artsy films. But you have to put the butter on your popcorn yourself.
