Kid's Kingdom
City of Rowlett does a great job at keeping their playgrounds up. This has several different sections for the different ages of children and it's a nice place to socialize with other mom's as well.
Christina's Mexican Restaurant
Every dish I seem to order here comes out flaming, or prepared table-side with flaming antics. It's all around fire-happy. The whole restaurant will stare at you too, so if you like being looked at wear your best ironic t-shirt and go nuts.
While the salsa is lacking compared to other great Mexican establishments, you're really missing out finding out how many different ways you can order food that makes the Fire Chief nervous.
You don't go to Cristina's to get queso, that's what Taco Cabana is for. You go to Cristina's to get banana leaf wrapped pupusas, interior Mexican tomatillo sauces and mariscos.
It's the best Mexican restaurant around Fire Wheel by a mile. Step outside the comfort of familiar Tex Mex fare and challenge your palette. It'll be worth it.
L G Motor Sports
If you're looking to jazz up that sports car - this is the place to go. Awesome staff, great prices for aftermarket parts, and they always have BEAUTIFUL cars sitting outside!!!
Monkey's Pub & Grill
A few pool tables, a few tables outside, and it's always pretty easy to get a drink. They have live bands on occasion and it's just a fun hole in the wall bar to go to in the boonies.
C & M Wheel & Tire
Granted, it's not always the cleanest shop or the easiest to find someone who speaks English but the service is always great and the prices can't be beat!
Caravan Cattle Company
Great big dance floor and I always have a blast everytime I go. I love the line dancing and the drinks are cheap and easy to come by. Thursday nights are alot of fun with a younger crowd.
Shogun Steak House
Very much like bennihanna's. The show is worth the visit itself. The chefs really know what they are doing and the food is absolutely cooked to order.
Brashears Riding Stables
I used to go riding here every year for my birthday. My birthday present to myself was to always spend an hour or two riding.
A few of the horses are more trail-rides. They are slower for the beginning riders. If you've riden quite a few times before - you get one of the more spirited horses. Sometimes, I think the horses are a little over worked per day - but overall, they are good to their horses.
Duffy's Restaurant
I have to completely agree with the review below me. Duffy's has been around since I was a little girl and I have fond memories of many breakfasts here with my father.
Low prices, good food. Yes, the building is very old - but for the price of the food - it's totally worth it.
Ron's Hamburgers & Chili
It's in an older strip mall so the store looks run down but the service and the food is well worth the price.
Burgers are larger than life. Always great flavor and price can't be beat by any of the local chains.
