This is a very casual fun spot. Should be on everyone's must stop list while visiting Deerfield Beach. The seafood, sandwiches, chips and chowder are all very good. Service is cheery and it is all done in a nautical beach like way that makes you feel like you are on vacation. Very good, and they have now opened a similar place out west off of 441.
The Draft House is very consistent. Beers by the bucket and good sandwiches and burgers are what you will find here. The grouper sandwich with the red pepper sauce is very good as well the burgers. There are pool tables and fun lively music. Nothing to complain about if you are going out in search of a Draft or Ale House.
There are a lot of good restaurants in Boca Raton which causes one to become picky and this restaurant id not bad but there is nothing to tell me to return for more. It was not bad and then again I do not have it on my list of places to visit again. The atmosphere is nice with many wicker fans going and a tropical feel.
Max's Grill is in the Mizner Park with several other good restaurants. If it wasn't for the early bird special I don't think we would ever eat there as it is just okay. To start the meal however, is a nice bread and cracker basket with a delicious hummus. From there it is just okay.
Petes reminds me of a nice place to have Mothers Day brunch. It is almost like a supper club with a very nice ambiance. It sits on a lake with many windows. The food is not memorable and in fact it is a bit pricey for the quality. There is an early bird special which seems to be a good deal.
Since I work in Miami I have had exposure to many Cuban restaurants and that puts pressure on Padrinos. It is an acceptable restaurant but nothing stands out. The portions are large and there is an oily smell that permeates your clothes and lingers with you after you leave the restaurant. I choose not to go here frequently, but again there is not a lot of competition in Boca for cuban food.
J. Alexanders is a good stop for lunch and possibly for dinner. I have only been there for lunch and found it to be good. The menu is a bit heavy on the beef side and a bit expensive but I have no complaints with the quality of food and or the quantity. It is close to a lot of shopping and it has been a place to stop after a few hours at the Boca Town center.
I would say, go for it.
Marks is a good dining experience. The fact that you can sit outside in the midst of the folks strolling by is entertaining since this restaurant is in Mizner Park. The menu is expensive but the quality is just acceptable. It is not a memorable experience but just okay. The beauty of this dining experience for me is to be outside in a very pleasant atmosphere.
Abe and Louies has by far the best steak in town. I have frequented many a steak house and this is a winner. All of the selections are good but large. I do not like that they require a sharing charge of $15.00 if you choose to split. At times one does not feel like eating 12 ounces of beef. The steaks are seasoned to perfection and the sides are very good. So far I have not had room to taste the desserts.
Met my fiance at Brewzzis. It was our first date. We sat outside which was very nice. Food and service were very good and the atmosphere was as well. The portions are very big and the quality of food is always consistant.
What more can you ask for???
I woould reccommend Brewzzis to anyone looking for a good micro-brewery.
