Love Park & Vine! They have all kinds of eco-friendly items, from bamboo plate sets, Kleen Kanteens, to organic sheets, to baby stuff. They have a number of different kinds of cloth diapers and are increasing that area often. Some things are expensive, but that is normal for organic and sustainable goods. They also have snacks and drinks, they get food from Melt, which is a yummy veg restaurant. They also hold workshops on a regular basis on gardening, cloth diapering, and other conscious living topics. Now they just need another store in the northeast suburbs!
Great little gardening store right in the city. They have a good selection of plants that are appropriate for city dwellers, and accessories. Good supply of organic/natural supplies. Also a very cute turtle that my son loves to visit.
Nice joint right next to the bike trail. homey interior with lots of things on the walls. Outside seating, too. Good beer selection, and good salads. General American menu.
Yummy cookies, right next to the bike trail! Also Nisbet Park right there, with a nice playground, and a path to the river. They also do birthday cookies, and made just a little one as a sign for my son's bday. Nice selection, and now they offer drive up service in the morning!
Very nice night out. Very good for locavores, they use a lot of local producers and in season items. Had a wonderful cheese plate with olives and figs. Nice wine and beer selections. They have periodic theme dinners that sound great, we haven't gotten to one yet.
Had heard about Melt for awhile, and happened on it by accident. Love it! Had an awesome spinach & artichoke sandwich. Great selection of veg and vegan items, as well as carnivorous ones, too. Tjey use a lot of local farmers and in season. Very yummy cabbage slaw side, and lots of natural drinks. Will be going there again!
I've had a couple of jackets and 3 pairs of pants done here. Have been very happy, she listens to what you want, and they've turned out great. About a week turnaround. Pants for hemming and taking waist in were about $25 each, not sure if that's a good deal or not. It's very convenient to my travel patterns.
The only comic shop we've tried so far in Cincy. They are also a record shop. They've had the Stephen King ones we've wanted, plus my son loves looking at the figures and role playing stuff they have.
Good soft ice cream, and they have the crazy flavor option. We tried the blackberry, it was yummy. No indoor seating, just patio furniture so we had to deal with bees and ants.
Best pizza in Cincinnati! Crust is not too greasy or thick, they have great combination pizzas, and you can do half and half on any of them. Also wonderful salads with different kinds of greens, and other gourmet items. Big glass windows so the kids can watch the pizzas being made.
