Shimon Salon
i get my hair colored here and it always comes out looking great! They also do cuts, manicures and pedicures. The salon is very clean and everyone is friendly. Prices are reasonable as well.
Stonestreets
They have wide range of ready-to-wear formal and informal outfits on sale. Flaunting an impressive array of fine designs from some of the world's best brands, Stonestreets has the potential to transform your personality from simple to elite. Accessories, such as ties and cuff links are also available. Prices are great too!
Tesorino
This store has the best designer handbags at such a low price. Everyone here is very pleasant and they have a lot of other items in the store as well. If you need to buy agift for someone this is your place. I go just for the handbags alone.
Urban Renewals
This cramped Allston shop bills itself as a family thrift store. Start with the children's clothes in the front racks, wander back to the men's sports jackets (including some wild plaids) and then meander into the women's section, which boasts a huge number of dresses and shoes, all arranged by color. In the back you will find home goods like silverware, dishes, plates, pots and pans. This shop has a great assortment of paperback books, and you might even find some bestsellers among them.
Towne Antiques & Custom Used Furniture Incorporated
This classic antique store is nearly forty years old and stocks furniture made by local artisans during the first quarter of the 20th-century. Most pieces are close to 60 years old, but some are much older. The outstanding selection of dining room tables, chairs, sideboards and highboys is predominantly built with traditional hardwoods like mahogany, oak and maple.
Sweet & Nasty
Boston's only adult bakery, this store has fun desserts that are really tasty. The items inside are definitely not for children and range from the softer side of passionate to the downright ribald. Find a wild, anatomically correct cake, a box of curvaceous chocolates and a host of extremely funny novelty toys to spark up any party or function. Leave your inhibitions at the door. Prices are reasonable.
Dakini Retail Store
This is one of two stores devoted to the Dakini line of chic outdoor clothing, although the brand is available at stores nationwide. Clothing that will make you the warmest and coolest-looking person in the ski lodge. Spring and summer designs retain the same urban look.
Avanti Salon
Avanti Salon does everything to make you look and feel beautiful. Hair color, manicures, pedicures, micro-dermabrasions, facials, and all that jazz has women flocking to 11, Newbury Street despite insufficient parking. White walls and white light with rectangular mirrors gives a spacious look to the place. Be sure to meet Bernice, Alex or Nancy; they are fantastic.
Prezza Restaurant
Delicious Italian-Mediterranean cusisine with my favorite hommade pasta lobster fra diavlo. Italian and Argentinian wines are available by the glass. You may have to dress with care to blend with the semi formal atmosphere. Prices are a bit high but the food is worth it.
Daily Catch
This place has the freshest seafood dishes at this storefront eatery in the North End. Dishes often pair a heavy garlic, butter and cream sauce with trout, salmon, shrimp and scallops and they are delicious. My favorite is the spicy lobster fra diavolo and calamari. The restaurant serves beer and wine. Prices are reasonable.
