Had a decent time here, but the staff were very unwelcoming. A group was leaving a table and we attempted to sit down, it was late in the night and they would not allow us to sit because another group was coming or so they said. After waiting a while longer and holding our bottle of wine that we ordered, they finally allowed us to sit but continued to kick people off of another open table that no one showed up to claim the entire evening.
Yes the address on this review is wrong. 420 W. Diversey right by Sheridan Rd. and close to the lake. This is always a good choice to watch a game or hang out with friends. They have good specials throughout the week and play great music.
Have been here a few times and have had dramatically different experiences. Went on a week night - the staff were practically falling over us - getting us chairs and a table and sending over appetizers on the house, lots of attractive men in suits. Went back on a weekend - found the band to be kind of annoying and the crowd to be older and suburban - trying too hard. It was also impossible to get drinks.
Had an amazing experience at Coast for a friends birthday. We had a large group and they seated us in the corner so we weren't in the way of other customers. We had a great waiter who advised us on how much to order and the best dishes. The best part is reservations and BYOB!
The food here is just OK, but what do you expect for only $5. They have a good setup with plenty of TVs to watch games and usually a fun crowd on the weekends.
Went to the take out grill portion of Pazzos - not the sit down restaurant. Got the cheese burger and it was a good burger but nothing special. Were lucky enough to get there early on a weekday and beat the lines and were able to snag a seat in the open air part of the 311 building lobby. Would like to try the sit down restaurant sometime.
A good choice for falafel or other Mediterranean fare. They are only open for lunch and the lines do get long with the crowds from the surrounding buildings.
This location of the SoupBox is located in the food court at Ogilvy Train Station in the Citigroup building. They always have a large selection of soups and don't tend to run out like I have found at the Broadway location. Keep and eye out for the daily soup special to save some money.
Have been here several times and have always had excellent service, food, and drinks. I would recommend splitting the taco platter where you can choose from a huge list of interesting and delicious taco combinations. The guacamole was also good and the margaritas are great with a friendly bartender. A great spot to stop for drinks after work that turns into dinner.
The food was pretty good traditional mexican - nothing special or out of the ordinary. The service could have been better. The waitress took forever to get drinks from the bar and was very slow at filling up waters. They also claimed to not have iced tea or lemonade EVER even though it is listed on their menu. Won't be rushing back.
