Red Bank Veterinary Hospital
The place to go for ER visits, as well as regular visits. Huge staff of surgeons and specialists. They always take their time with you, explain everything, and answer any questions. they grew out of their original location and built a huge new facility down the road. The first building now houses rehab patients. Veterinary care is never cheap, and the same holds true here, but you get what you pay for, and I will always take my dogs here.
Michael's Dry Cleaners
Located in a strip mall downtown, this cleaner is convenient and efficient. Tailoring is done on premises, and they do a great job at a reasonable price. Will do overnight if requested; have always been friendly and efficient.
Tips & Toes
Fairly new nail salon in new strip mall. They do hands, feet, as well as waxing. The best part is that you don't need an appointment, and walk-ins are seen immediately. Great for people with scheduling difficulties. Want to try pedicure soon - they have the running water foot baths that I'm dying to try.
Manhattan Monster
I can't believe I'm writing this - but yes - I've been to this bar on occasion to meet friends. And, it really is a nice piano bar. So what if I'm usually the only woman in there? Drinks are reasonably priced for NY, and they always have great music. It's on the corner that overlooks a small park, so you get to watch a lot of folks as well. Fun place.
Carmine's Italian Seafood
Great food - this spot is at the Seaport and they have excellent food at reasonable prices. Seating is booths and family style table - you can fit more people in that way. You can see into the kitchen and watch them cook. Food is not only delicious but plentiful. Family owned, and everyone is friendly, especially the patrons. Just around the corner from all the shopping.
Marinella Restaurant
Located in the heart of Greenwich Village. We love to eat here after a trip in to see a show. Great Italian food as well as lovely seafood entrees. The specials are unique; the salmon with mustard sauce is a favorite. Portions are adequate; sides (veg, potatoes) are served family style. Highly recommend. One of the few restaurants where they let you relax and take your time ordering, eating, and enjoying after dinner drinks.
King Garden
Nice little Chinese fast food - mostly take out orders. Food good & plentiful, lots of specials, highly recommend the chicken and broccoli. Lunch specials under $5; dinner specials come with fried rice and egg roll. Convenient for me to walk to; now offering delivery service as well. Seat yourself tables after you pick up your meal.
Dills Raceway Equipment Incorporated
I imagine Dills has been around forever...I guess they originally started out as suppliers for the farms in the area that had racehorses for the Freehold raceway. I am in Dills several times a week. Still a family owned business, they cater to the customers. Besides horse supplies, they have food for dogs, cats, rabbits, small rodents, birds, etc. Plus gardening supplies, dozens of brands of food, puzzles, dog crates, collars, leashes, bowls, treats, supplements. You can't imagine how much they pack into a small store. ANd, they always have treats for the dogs - they are welcome in the store. They knew my dogs name before they knew mine. If there is anything you need , go tto Dills. Open 7 days, closed major holidays.
Relli's Deli & Sub Shop
Relli's is a great sub shop. We often have them deliver food for meeting lunches. Subs and sandwiches are great value for the money, the offer daily specials, and they have fantastic salads. Good deal for the money.
Fratelli's Pizzeria
We go here a lot for lunch. All of their meals are great. They recently renovated and it has the feel of a real Italian restaurant. They offer delivery service in the local area. Calzones are loaded with cheese; subs are sometimes skimpky on ingredients though.
