Glow Electric Co Inc

We've used Glow numerous times for projects large and small, and they are always fantastic. We even had our old house completely rewired, and they did a terrific job and did it quickly. They're reasonable on price, and the electricians are friendly. Would recommend to anyone.

Cheng-Du Restaurant

You wouldn't necessarily expect to find a place this good tucked away in downtown Mansfield, but Cheng Du doesn't fail to impress. They have a massive menu, fast service and an attentive manager. The orange flacor beef and kung pao chicken are excellent, as well as the pot stickers.

Home Depot Home Services

This smaller location sometimes lacks the standard items you would find at any other Home Depot. Plus, the Garden Center is a separate building, so forget about one-stop shopping if you need to grab something for the outdoors.

Mariano's Hacienda

Mariano's has terrific food and a great environment that's family friendly, too. Plus, you can still get a great frozen margarita (which they invented)... The fajitas are excellent, as are many of the Mexican dinners. If you like guacamole, have them make it tableside... It's delicious.

Be prepared to wait on weekend nights... Still worth it!

The Purple Cow

I have yet to see what the big deal is about this place. It IS kid friendly, crayons available, lots of kid items on the menu. I think a place can be kid friendly without serving bland, boring food, which the Purple Cow does. Plus, for a place that suggests it's a great place for ice cream and shakes, you'd think they'd have more than 5-6 flavors to try. Yawn. Braum's is corporate and lacks character, but the food and ice cream are much better!

Jake's Old Fashioned Burgers

This place is a Lake Highlands institution. Maybe it's great for everyone else, but I've been there 3-4 times and it's been totally lame. The burgers are great if you actually get the one you order. My daughter wanted meat & cheese only, a plain burger, and you would have thought I was asking for Duck a l'Orange. They got it right on the third try. They got my order wrong, too, the last 2 times I've been. Save your money and go to JG's or Burger House instead.

Rallye Auto Svc

Never never never NEVER pay what the dealer will charge you. Rallye will shoot you straight, even if it means recommending someone else for the job, as they did with some body work I needed done. They are friendly, affordable and do great work.
