I was, by Yvonne Oulette over the phone as I needed the best brush kits for my media work only. She recommended her most expensive Red Sable Brush Kit, in a fancy roll up bag she boasted.
I spent the $$$, and received the brushes. They looked nice, but if you see her fine print-these brushes are part synthetic too, though it boasts' "Red Sable"! To make this short, the tips began falling off. So I glued them back on. When it happened a 2nd time, I called for a replacement. She was less than nice (Yvonne) and said she would replace them, "but she had no idea" about how much time UPS could get me the return label, etc. She lied, she was defensive. The 2nd set I had the same problems with again! And she ignored my 2 messages sent about this same brush kit.It was after threats of her mistreatment to me I finally got a message back. This lady boasts her company and she's a MUA to the Stars. Who isn't? So disappointing, and her train cases are always smaller when you (I) receive them. She's out for herself ONLY.
Very bad customer service should always be reported.

What a disappointment for all the money I've spent on his "Fade Gels". I gave them all the college try and I was diligent about using his products as directed.You see, I am not full of pigmentation- which you can only see on my arms, but still they made me unhappy. I was directed to his line, chock full of fading products for my mini problem and was told his products were amazing.Yes, but only in price. I want to shout out that Dr. Brandt is not as great as they say! What a disappointment~

Regeneration Salon

I went in for hair, and it was just OK, not the spa I'd expected either. Everyone's a manager. This place takes itself way too seriously.They have umpteenth services you can choose from, tattoo removal? She called it the "pain room".There isn't a great salon I've visited that offers 25 services, some medi stuff- too,
that is GREAT at everything. Though they boast well.
They have no area of expertise.
Place could be cleaner, staff all young, not a great cut, either. Expensive.

Phelan Hair Design

This small, quaint, cute and comfortable business is run solely by the owner, Laurie Phelan. I was given a referral, and I always need a great referral to try, and Phelan Hair Design was perfect for me.I needed to add texture to my blond (barbie like-flat color), & her consultation was excellent-she is a visionary after 25 years of industry experience. She looks 30 and has the energy of one.Passionate about what she does and how it can be done was discussed. Laurie is very personable and cared about what I wanted. So, with my barbie blond- low lights were added as we talked about, and it turned out beautifully! I now look like a mature blond, with room for transition as I create- with help, the look I want to achieve for myself. Laurie also retails after care products, without pressure AT ALL She has whatever you need for after care and style, just ask her should you need to.Phelans Hair Design hours of operation are 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Flexible- and you can call her for a special time, should you need it and if she's available. Laurie is an expert stylist, and she does color, foils and chemical services. Her rates are competitive, and she goes straight to work.She won't take up your day with her services-she's very efficient once we agreed on the desired outcome.See Laurie at Phelan Hair Design. Euro Institute of Skin Care

I found this amazing school 2 years ago, and I've never left unhappy.They have advanced training for their almost graduated students, in their last week of training to graduate- who do the work for our face, hands, body scrubs and more to choose from their menu.This is a school that is recognized all over North America and people call the Institute for their recently graduated students.They are European and Holistic and this is the treatment you will receive. Wonderful Essential Oil facials, Vitamin C facials, Body Treatments for polishing the skin, post summer and pre-summer is great for this amazing service.The teachers are there for your face evaluation, the graduate suggest's the right regimen-and the teacher will delicately suggest an addition or suggestion for my skin type and your's. Then they are on their own. Truly, I do not believe you have to pay so much money if you want a great facial and more.I gave a 4 star as some of the students are not personable, and their facial massages are a hit or miss, meaning a good one which facials are noted for. You can tip or not, they always ask you to rate their professional. I've been a visitor at least 10x because it's usually a hit! Their prices cannot be beat. Try them and see...

Hedmans Hair Salon

How many of you have tried this awesome salon? I've been there 3x now, and for 2 different services- 2 cuts and an inexpensive (not usually, & not here) but an amazing hair conditioning treatment. They have an on site manicurist, and are full service indeed. I had to go pay them a visit last week for a trim after the Costa Rica trip that left my hair dried in the front and breaking, even.And the last 3 times now that I've called, they see me right away. I had my A line bob re-trimmed with all damage to my overly foiled hair GONE. Yes a miracle for me, but for you-bring yourself in for a $35 haircut, a barber trim for the boys if you have any, a mani/pedi and expect the team with many years of practice with fun and professionalism to make you happy.The owner loves his work and the energy there is great. Nice people. Plus, they retail great aftercare products, without any sales pressure.

Studio 904

Studio 904 is a class act salon. Their staff of colorists and stylists are trendy, trained weekly, good at what they do- they are an Aveda Salon.They will consult with you in a very personable way, and offer suggestions-if you ask only. They work in teams at times for a faster service which is nice. And this salon does follow up with you to see if your service was what you expected and so forth.The reception is always nice, Oliver is it! and he's a polished professional MUA-who will help you with makeup as you leave.And when he's busy you can do it yourself or someone else can.I would highly recommend their services. They also offer mani/pedi services.

They HAD a no tipping policy which does not exist anymore, they've been late in updating this to consumers.

Pogacha Of Issaquah

We've dined there several times, in the summer where we could sit outside.The food is a 3 star, the drinks a 5 star and the service a 3 star. Each time we've arrived there isn't a reception at all, and we find ourselves floundering-should we just sit? Well, they don't like that we've found.Always an overwhelmed service person see's us eventually, instead of being totally ignored and tells us where to go. And the wait for a drink to start takes 10 minutes.This could be a really great place to go if they had enough service people to go around. They are hassled and hurried. No reception or greeting, though they have a place for hostess's to do just that.We had friends meet us there for dinner another time, and for the money we pay I don't think it's a great value....

Warm coffee, curt help, 2 star food, slow service, a bit of a groupie
hang out place for locals WHO definitely get better service.

I knew the original owners, one named Ken and used to work at their Bellevue location 25 years ago, working in pantry.

I have a feeling now that the Broadway locale is only a tax write off to the owners now.

Cleanliness doesn't exist. Maybe a once a week clean up. Yuck.

Bella Sirena Boutique Salon

They have very exclusive European product's you'll not likely see for your face. Jan Morini is one of many they carry, and the prices are indeed high, but only as you'll see in other places that carry high end facial treatments & products as they do.

They are a full service salon with a very well trained staff.
I cannot recommend the owner, also a stylist/colorist-I'm sorry.Though her staff is terrific.
