This place has the best catnip on the East Coast. My sister made some cat toys and stuffed them with catnip from The Herb Lady. She then shipped the toys to a friend that fostered cats in New Jersey. The package arrived and the friend set the unopen box in her foyer and went out to run some errands. She came home and the box was shredded and the contents of the box were all over the house. The cats had never been happier.
They have a mixture of potpourri called Leaper McFleapers Amazing Flea Chaser that has a blend of oils and herbs that traditionally repels fleas. I love the smell. I put it in my dogs bed and she (dog) smells great when we have morning snuggle time.
Price is good too. $5.00 for a pack and it last about 6 - 9 months.

Walk inside the Shepherdstown Sweet Shop and your senses will be in overdrive. Everything is homemade and smells heavenly. They gave breads, pies, cakes, cookies, muffins, pastries and more. I can never decide, so I always get something for now and something to take home for later.
My brother-in-law said that he moved back to the area, just so he could be close to the Sweet Shop....it had nothing to do with being close to family and friends.
Looking for something hard to find or unique for your child or the child within you....look no further than One Two Kangaroo in Shepherdstown, WV.
The store isn't very big and is tucked between two store fronts, but the unique selection is awesome and the prices are wonderful too.
They have some of the same timeless toys that my cousins, siblings and I played with 30+ years ago. They also have education and thinking games that I have never seen anywhere else. If they don't have it, they will try to get find it for you.
At least once a month, we order Chinese and Sushi from China Kitchen. The dining room is small (seats 30 - 40), so we always order takeout. The kids like to sit at the Sushi counter and watch the Sushi Chef.
The portions are quite large. Four Sushi rolls and three entrees are more than enough for Nine people. We always have leftovers for lunch the next day. Dinner entrees average between $7.50 and $9.00.
Most of the wait staff is college kids, but the cooking is done by the family. The owner is very friendly and insist that one of the college boys carries the bags out to your car.
We discovered Tony's Pizza, when my sister attended Shepherd College 18 years ago. Back then it was called Stonewalls, but the Pizza and Subs are still just as good today. Now we take the kids there. The subs, calazones and stomboli are too large for one person to eat, we always share. The medium pizza is large enough for 5 kids to share. They also have Italian dishes, if you hunger for something more.
During Late Spring to Early Fall, the garden behind the restuarant is nice place to eat Al Fresco.
If you are planning a trip to Sharpsburg, MD...be sure to stop by Nutters Ice Cream Shop. They open at one o'clock year round. When the weather is warm, the line is looped inside the store and then down the block. The kiddie scoop is 95 cents, but the scoop is huge. You get over a cup of ice cream. If you think you can handle it, they have single, double and triple scoops.
They have at least thirty flavors of hand dipped ice cream, two soft serve flavors, 4 flavors of frozen yogurt, sundaes, milkshakes, snow cones and lollipops. Lollipops are a combination of snowcone and ice cream in a tall cup. My favorites are cherry ice w/ chocolate soft serve or orange ice w/ vanilla soft serve. Hailey (my dog) recommends the peach frozen yogurt.
