Village Pilates Studio
Village Pilates is a great studio with wonderful instructers and the latest equipment. The environment is welcoming and classes are challenging. Class and private lesson prices are reasonable and every friday there is a free community class.

Mundial Cocina Mestiza
Mundial is one of my favorite resturants. I have eaten there many times and have nothing but amazing experiences. I ate there recently for lunch and had the tilapia sandwich. It was so delicious and full of flavor. So fresh and a generous portion. The calamari is a must and the tamale appetizers are fantastic. The ensalada India is another favorite. Mundial has innovative food and is warm and welcoming.

Redamak's Tavern
Redamaks is a famous place with amazing fast food. The restaurant atmosphere is fun and lively, food is inexpensive and comes out fast. They are famous for their burgers and fried veggies. Delicious all around.

Stray Dog Bar & Grill
The Stray Dog is a wonderful and fun family restaurant. It has a great bar and spacious restaurant. The salads and burgers are great, as well as the brick oven pizzas. Reasonable priced. It is very popular on weekends so be ready for a wait. It is in a great location and sitting on the deck is great in the summer.

Casey's Bar & Grill
Casey's is nice restaurant for good american food. The atmosphere is inviting and the restaurant is great for families and small parties. On my last visit I enjoyed a great cup of soup and pasta dish. Casey's is near the beach and has outdoor seating which is great for the summer.

Froehlich Inc
Going to Froehlich's is such a treat. It is a little market and deli. As you walk into this beautiful place you are captured by the walls and furnishings covered in gifts, unique kitchen supplies and more. In the back you can order baked goods, delicious soups, sandwiches, salads and other treats. The food is so fresh. I love the gazpacho soup and the smokey tom turkey sandwich. They have outdoor seating and service is fast. It is an all around amazing place.

Grape Leaves
Grape leaves has delicious middle eastern food. The atmosphere is small and cozy. The combination plate is amazing, it comes with hummus, falafel and babaganoush. I would also try the chicken kabob dinner. The food is exceptional.

Economy Shop
This thrift store is awesome. It is in big house with floors of clothing, books, shoes and toys. It is only open once or twice a month so it is sort of hit or miss.

Oak Park Records
Second hand tunes has a great selection of used CDs and LPs at reasonable prices. It is also well organized and the service is good. You can also trade or sell there.

Nola's Cup
Nola's Cup is a coffee shop and restaurant that serves the food of New Orleans. With strong, delicious coffee and tasty sandwiches it is a great place for lunch. They also serve breakfast. You must try their gumbo and beighnets.
