My 3 year old child attended this school for about six months in 2007. I remember feeling regret each time I dropped him off - not because of separation anxiety, but because something about the school just didn't seem right. (It was my first experience with a preschool and I had little point of reference.) The majority of the instructors were poorly groomed and seemed more like babysitters that teachers. One teacher had a bumper sticker which read "Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult". ??? The toys were quite worn (i.e. baby dolls with broken parts) and scarce, despite frequent fundraising by the school. I'll always wonder how the money was spent, because it certainly wasn't evident. In the end, it was the too-frequent smell of diapers that got me -- I couldn't stand the thought that my child might spend a day somewhere dirty. My lesson: If a preschool smells funny; looks drab rather than bright, clean and engaging; and if the teachers and staff aren't well-trained and passionate (!), do a little more research and find a better fit.
