Storheim's is like Culver's, but better because it's a family owned business that is loyal to it's community. Huge hamburgers, large menu, fresh custard with special daily flavors. One of the family's favorites in Green Bay, perfect on a hot summer day.
I first tried Keva Juice when I was visiting my roommate from college, and ever since I've been trying to find a similar smoothie place here in the midwest. My search has been unsuccessful because Keva Juice is unlike any other smoothie place. Original combinations mixed with a fun atmosphere, great prices and great tastes!
I'm originally from Racine and still have family living there, and whenever we visit, or when they visit us in Shawano, we either stop and buy bread and liver sausage or they bring us some. It's one of a kind and seriously amazing.
I love Infusino's. I've had countless birthday parties there, their pizza is the ultimate pizza in my book, the one I judge all other pizzas by. Classic Italian menu, reasonable prices, sometimes slow service and long wait to be seated, depending on the night and the crowd.
The two best things about the Flamingo Hotel are its location: right next to Noah's Ark-you pull out of the driveway and the next one over is the entrance for the parking lot of Noah's Ark- and you get two free tickets to Noahs Ark with each room rental. The prices are reasonable, the rooms comfortable, nothing fancy, but clean and satisfactory. Flamingo also has an outdoor pool with a play area for kids, so if you don't want to go to Noahs Ark or if your kids just didn't get enough time in the water, there's plenty to keep them busy here.
Wood Orchard Market has a huge variety of food and souvenirs, from fresh cherries to cherry salsa, all of which can be sampled. The staff here is great, they don't stare at you while you're sampling the various dips, mustards, salsas, and spreads. They also have a bakery so you can get all you need in one spot.
One of the most reasonably priced courses in door county, also one of the busiest due to the prices. This course can be walked, but if you are older or it's the middle of the day you will want a cart. This course is laid back, I'm a beginner golfer and come with my dad and brother and we have a great time laughing and enjoying the sun. No pressure because the price is so cheap, you can be awful and still have a good time here.
A beautiful golf course with challenging holes, Peninsula State Park Golf Course offers 9 and 18 hole rounds as well as a driving range. To play this course you definitely will want to use a cart, it is expansive and a couple of the hills are up in the bluffs. The scenery is amazing and tee times aren't too hard to come by.
Located in Adams Morgan, this is one of several interesting bars in the neighborhood. Many leveled bar, including a rooftop bar with heaters so it can be used during the fall and beginning of winter, this place has reasonably priced drinks and a fun atmosphere. At one point we started a "USA" chant and got the whole crowd upstairs going. Lounge area consists of picnic tables upstairs, kind of awkward but fitting.
I took my family here when they visited me while I was in D.C., and they loved it. With seating both inside the restaurant and tables out in the commons area of Union Station, dining here is a unique experience. My brother loved the peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich! The menu is decidedly "American" but still offers a large number of options at reasonable prices.
