Mena's is a small place and sometimes a line forms out the door. The atmosphere is nothing special, but the food is tasty and inexpensive. They have great red beans and rice, fried chicken, and breakfast items.

This place is a real hole in the wall, but the food is good and the prices are cheap. They have both BBQ and Cuban dishes. They make great black beans and rice. My favorite is the ribeye dinner that comes with a huge steak, an enormous baked potato, and a salad for under $10. It's enough for two meals, and it's extremely tasty.

This place has great fresh bagels and they make an outstanding bagel sandwiches with tuna, white fish, roast beef, and many other choices. Their prices are great and they often have coupons in the local paper.

Fords pizza has delicious, thin crust, traditional east coast pizza. They also makew and excelent antipasto salad. Their food is very good and reasonably priced.

Villa Borghese has excellent pizza, sandwiches, and pasta. They have authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. The inside is casual and the staff is friendly and efficient.

Dino's is a childhood favorite that I make sure to visit whenever I am in town. The Manhattan clam chowder is the best I have ever eaten. Their fried shrimp, clams, fish, and soft-shell crab are delicious. The service is fast and friendly.

This place has the best seafood. I love their platters and sanwiches of fried shrimp, scallops, and flounder. Their breading is so light and delicious. My absolute favorite item is the flounder sandwich and I get it every time I am in town. The prices are good. Service is good, too, though thisis a strictly take-out place.

This place is under a new name (hirozen) and new ownership. The food is delicious. They have excellent sushi items and great Japanese cooked food. I especially liked their vegetable teriyaki.

This place has a great lunch deal. For $5.95 you get tempura, beef or chicken teriyaki, salad, soup, and rice. You can ask for refills on the rice too. They also offer gyoza dumplings, sashimi, and other things. The service is fast and friendly.

India House Restaurant

Buena Park, CA Indian Restaurants 04/27/08: 'Very good Indian Food'

This place is on Beach Blvd. near Knott's Berry Farm. They have excellent Indian dishes and naan bread. I recommend the lentil dish called dal and the tandoori chicken. Dinner can be expensive, but the lunch buffet is a good deal.
