My Kids Clubhouse
My son (almost 3) and I visited My Kids Clubhouse last week on our way home from San Diego. It was his first time there, unless you count when he was in my belly. (-:
We had a blast! His older sister came many times when she was 2- 2.5 years old and really enjoyed it. It was nice to see him have just as good of a time. He and I must of gone down the slides 25 times!
This place isn't too big so you can sit down, relax and pretty much see your child no matter where you are sitting. They have lot's of magazines, a TV, food/drinks.
A great place to relax while the kids get their sillies out!
Dreams on Skin
OK, so I didn't actually get a tattoo so I can't speak for the actually workmanship of this place but my sister and I wanted to get tattoo's while she was here visiting. Just something small.I did some research and I found this place. Looked over their website and felt really comfortable paying them a visit. My sister and I went in one day, I think it was a Saturday, about 20 minutes after they opened. She needed a belly ring as her fell out at the beach the day before. So, rather than just asked to be inked, we thought we'd make this purchase first and see how we felt about the place. When we walked in, there were no customers. Just one guy sitting down and another guy mopping the floor. The guy sitting down, came to help us and he was all attitude. Absolute jerk! You'd think we just woke him from his nap. He was so rude that when my sister mentioned what she was looking for, he said, "the floors are wet, I'm not walking over there to look" Are you kidding me? I guess he saw the look we gave and he looked for a belly ring in another place of the shop (where the floors weren't wet) oh, how nice.He showed her one and she said, she'd take it. I don't recall the price but I think it was maybe $35.00. He tells her how much, as she is handing him the money, she said, can I have a receipt? The guy just rolled his eyes and said "the receipt pad is over there and I'm not walking on the wet floor to get it". My sister just said, OK, thanks! and we walked out.Obviously, we decided not to get tattoo's there.
Arena Sports Inc
I've worked out at this club once and I've taken a Kick boxing class here once.
The only thing I liked was the class and the instructor. Other than that, the club is very worn down and dirty. I don't think it has A/C and I recall breathing in a lot of dusty, dirty air both times I was there.
My first time in, I waited at the front desk for nearly 15 minutes to be helped. All this while the employee behind the desk was chatting away and even arguing with another employee. Talk about awkard.
I will not be back.
Trevi Entertainment Center
Some friends and I went to Trevi's for a Mom's night out. It was a blast! We got to rent our own room to bowl in.
Prices were more than reasonable for food and drinks.
We do Mom's night out once a month and this is one that everyone keeps talking about!
Plowboy's Market
World class rating for a fruit/veggie stand seems a bit much but I just LOVE this place!! I would love to buy only organic fruits and veggies all of the time but for now, I do a bit of both. This stand is great. They have such a wide variety of fruits and veggies, they also carry eggs. I've never spent more than 30.00, on that day, I got so much stuff I felt like I robbed them! The prices are the best you will find. Do NOT waste it at the grocery store.
This particular Plowboys in Wildomar is off of Palomar, they only takes cash and checks.
The also have weekly specials!
Herb Cottage
I was so happy when a friend told me about The Herb Cottage. They are close to my home and prior to finding them I did the drive to Temecula to buy my vitamins/supplements at Sprouts or Henry's.
The staff at The Herb Cottage is very knowledgeable. Walk in with an ailment and walk out with a natural remedy. Or at least that has been my experience.
The prices are no higher than Sprouts or Henry's.
I highly recommend them!
Olivera's Coffee & Juice Bar
OK, so I am a Starbucks junkie (well, not right now, trying to get in shape for summer (-: )
But normally, Starbucks is where I go. I decided once when picking up a coffee for a friend and myself that I would try Oliveras. What a mistake. There was one person in front of me and it took the employee a really long time to make her one drink. When it came to me, I ordered two drinks - kept them the same to keep it simple and she still took an incredibly long time. Not a huge deal if the coffee is great but it was horrible. I was so embarrased to bring it to my friend, after all, I did tell her I was picking up drinks from Starbucks. I could have made a better cup at home. By the way, it was fall and the drink was some sort of Pumpkin drink. Nothing special, just something that was on their menu.
Anne Sullivan Preschool & Kindergarten
My daughter has been going to Anne Sullivan for two years, she'll go one more next year for Kindergarten. My son will start preschool there this summer. I love this school. At first I was turned off by the fact that they only offer full days, approx. 8:30 - 3:30 (the schedule is flexible) but after attending for a few weeks and picking up my daughter at noon every day I became comfortable as did she. Now I can't imagine only going to preschool or kindergarten for only a few hours. I am very involved in the school and plan to be even more involved once my son is there. The teachers are all incredible! They have a unique way of teaching these youngsters. It's not as much academic as it is learning through play - but you can see as you watch the kids and have been around them enough, the academic just comes - it's true, they learn best through play. The school is on 30 acres or so. Orange groves to romp around in, they go on hikes, they plant gardens . The kids are outside in the nature a lot. Home cooked meals for lunch are served, snacks are healthy. I could go on and on. I'm so glad I found this place. If you are looking for a preschool or kindergarten program that your child will flourish in, call them up and set up a tour!

Jolie Day Spa
I've had haircuts, massages and a facial here. I love it. When I first moved out here I went to Murrieta Day Spa on several occasions, each time passing Jolie Day Spa and thinking, I wonder if that place is any good. I finally tried it and was very pleased. They offer all the services of any high class day spa you'll find but I find their prices to be more reasonable. Plus they always have specials on facials and massages!
Check them out!
DCH Acura of Temecula
Being a former Service Advisor I was a bit nervous to have the rolls switched around since becoming a stay at home Mom. My service visits from day one have been great. We saw Robert for years but the last time I was in about a month ago, I found out he had moved on. I was pretty disappointed since he knew me, my car, my kids, etc.. but was relieved when Tim took just as good of care of me. I've had some wonderful experiences here but will just name one that really stands out. It was a Sunday, my van's battery was dead, I called AAA and got it jumped. Call the service dept and Robert said, come on down we'll take care of you right away. When I got there, both kids were asleep in the car. I planned to just transfer them to my double jogger and sit in the waiting room. As soon as Robert saw what I was doing, he called up two techs, they changed my battery without even turning off the car! Just did a really fast switch and sent me on my way!!! I couldn't have been there more than 10 minutes. I'll never forget that day. I love that they have such flexible service hours. I won't go anywhere else!
