Salon Blue
There was never a hair stylist I enjoyed or trusted more. I have gone through so many cuts and colors with Kendall, and I am happy every time. He is consistently accurate, professional and entertaining. He is a chemist with the color and an artist with the cut!
Julianna's Discount Framing
I just had three very different pieces of art framed by this special lady. Julianna and I had a great time creating the pieces together, while also talking politics, arts and culture. A neat lady who deserves enough business to survive. Get your posters and paintings framed!
Xma World Headquarters
There is no cooler facility than XMA for trampoline classes, performance martial arts, Capoeira, and even FOCUSfish's aerial arts programming. The owner (formerly the Blue Power Ranger) is professional and so accessible. What a beautiful, classy space in which to train.
Wells Chiropractic Group
I love when I can go into a doctor's office and talk holistically about my ailments and the problems get solved, whether they are a back issue, sinus congestion, anxiety, knee pain... whatever! This man has helped many of my clients and friends. I highly recommend his services.
Fun & Fit Gymnastics
My family recently moved out of Burbank and the only thing I miss is my daughter's gymnastics facility. She is enrolled in one in Woodland Hills, but it doesn't even come close to the professionalism, the large space, the positive energy, and the level of instruction at Fun & Fit Gymnastics.
Zenbunni Gallery
I recently moved to Topanga and find myself browsing a few local shops. I happened upon Zen and Bunni, two of the coolest people I have ever met. I didn't want to leave the store... but when I did, I had two natural t-shirts, two organic chocolate bars, a bottle of raw olive oil and live honey. This is where I tell my husband to buy my romantic gift of jewelry or art. It's a gem of a gallery tucked in our beautiful canyon- worth the trip.
Bourbon Vieux
I've been to Bourbon Vieux for a casual New Orleans dinner (complete with gator- and I liked it!) and booked my wedding reception there. What an amazing time my family had, hangin' on the Bourbon St. balcony, stuffing their faces with crab mornay dip (OMG!) and dancing to the sounds of traditional jazz and cajun music. Laissez les Bon Temps Roulez!
Froggy's Topanga Fish Market
The sounds of croaking and rustic surroundings welcome you as you enter the old legion hall, complete with large wood fireplace. Full of locals, you can't help but relax and order a hemp beer. Get the appetizers and burger. It's that kind of place and it's that kind of GOOD!
Abuelita's Restaurant
My family recently moved to Topanga, and first on our list of things to do was to find a Mexican restaurant nearby that had a relaxed family atmosphere, great margaritas, and "clean" Mexican food. It's not lard heavy. The seafood is good. They also allow any special requests with no attitude. VIVA ABUELITAS!
