Gwens Douple Dip
This ice cream store is always packed in the summer. They have just about every flavor you can think of.
They also sell hot dogs and nachos.
The prices are very reasonable.

Ms Kitties Salon Of Beauty
I have been to this salon a couple of times. The lady runs the shop all by herself, she keeps to her appointments on time and I liked that the most.
I was overcharged on a treatment and expressed my concern, she wouldnt budge, so I do not patronize this store anymore.
Her prices werent that great either.
Limited parking.

Queens Nail
This nail shop is on Western right off of Florence in a small plaza with limited parking.
They usually have about 3 - 4 technicians at a time. They are just like any other nail shop, there is nothing out of this world about this shop.
Prices reasonable.

This is a small location right on Western. Everyone I know raves about this place so I had to try them for myself.
They do have some really good fried fish, we usually order the red snapper and fries.
The prices are reasonable and parking is right on Western.

Primo Burgers
This burger joint is right on Gage and Western and they sell all the usual burger joint stuff.
My son in just in love with their fries and we make special trips here just for them.
They have parking here and the prices are very reasonable.

Amanze African Suya Restaurant
We have been to this restaurant a number of times. Its located right on Crenshaw off MLK.
We have bought the dinner special which lets you choose 3 different items for under $10 so needless to say they are reasonably priced.
Some nights they have lectures and entertainment.
Friendly staff.
Parking is limited to Crenshaw unless you want to walk.

New Panda Buffet
This restaurant used to be the old Sizzlers on Rodeo and La Brea. I have been there a couple of times and have always found the selection to be good. I have also gone here just to get take aways. I never have to wait long but sometimes I have seen a line of people out the door, so you know its good.
They have reasonable prices. The staff is always friendly.
There is alot of parking.

Los Compadres
This is a little hole in the wall place on Western and if you blink you may miss it.
They have a small area to eat in. We normally order the tacos which are like 50 cents for 2 and they are really good. The sodas are like 50 cents as well.
The only parking is on Western.

Total Beauty Supply
This store is just like any other beauty supply store, stocked chock a block with everything you need.
I occasionally visit this store and can always find what I need. Unless you find a park on Western, there is no parking at all.

Homesource Furniture
I bought my dining table and chairs, and one of my sons beds from. The furniture was cheap so I knew it wouldnt last. Its been a year since I bought the furniture and already the chairs are broken but one and the bed is in pieces.
They delivered the furniture for like $20 and the guys who assembled everything did a fantastic job, in and out real quick.
It pays to have quality furniture.
