We all Love some ice cream. This ice cream shop has been around for a very long time. It is like an old fashioned ice cream parlor. You can sit at the bar on the stools and eat your ice cream in an old fashioned, glass ice cream dish. We went there as kids to get ice cream cones and I took my own kids when we lived there. They do have booths to sit at where you can order food too. Their desserts can be a little pricey compared to others, but you have the traditional ice cream parlor feel. You can't be Wisconsin Dairy Products.
I have dined in and carried out food from this restaraunt. They do have a nice dine-in atmosphere, with murals on the walls, for a pizza place. It is always busy and it's not all pizza. They have gyros, fish and chips, and other hot sandwiches. The waitress doesn't hover because she's busy, but she does check on you. Prices are average. Check out their gyros!
Yum Yum. This is a fast food service place; drive thru or dine in. Definitely a higher quality than BK, McD's etc. The food is good and it's not all burgers, but they do take the cake with there "Butter Burgers". All there sandwiches are cooked to order, so you never get anything stale or cold. Once you have your meal, stick around and try out there "concretes" or other yummy ice cream desserts. Average pricing for meals.
Dr Oconnell is a great OB/GYN. She provided pre and post natal care when I was pregnant with my son; he is now 5. She is a wonderful doctor who provides above quality care. She has a "familiar" presence with the patients; like you've known her for years. The office has a very homey feel instead of that antiseptic feel. She and her staff were quick to remember your name come the second visit. Upon one of my follow ups after my son, her office presented me with a "Welcome Baby" gift bag filled with baby items. Never had I experienced a physician like her before. I continue to refer people to her because she is amazing.
This is one of the best pediatricians you will find anywhere!! My brother, who is now 33 went to him as a child and when I lived back home with my family, my kids were seen by him. He has two offices, one in Oconomowoc and the other in Watertown. His staff is always friendly and accommodating and he is very meticulous about the care he provides. With every appointment, sick or well,he always does a complete check up. Maybe one of the last doctors to actually sit down and speak with you and really "give you the time". He and his wife, who works with him, never forget my children's names. They weren't just another face in the office trying to be pushed through because a quota had to be met. He and his staff and very genuine and sincere. There were several times on his day off, he would come to the office if one of my children were ill. He does speak a little fast, that does take some getting use to, but you can pretty much bet he is in his job because of the children.
Great, christian based facility. Various counselors with different denominational backgrounds. Christian music is always played in the office. The staff is wonderful! You do not have to be affiliated with any church or denomination to benefit from their services. Likewise, religion is not incorporated in the counseling sessions unless you choose it to be, nor is it pushed/forced on an individual. Very wholesome environment.
Looking for a great pair of glasses? This is the place to go. Cynthia is fantastic at what she does and definitely has a flair for placing people in a pair of frames that are complimentary to their features. My daughter and I both got our frames from her. She provides one on one attention with each of her customers. I am just amazed at how she can look at a person's features and just start grabbing frame choices and colors that would best suit the person. Her prices are very comparable to any other optical shop. I highly recommend her shop. If you don't check her out at least once, you will be missing out. I have never had so many compliments on a pair of frames before and I have been wearing glasses for 27 years.
I was looking for another vehicle because my other car had been totalled in an accident. My dad and I stopped in and looked around about ten minutes then a guy came out to greet us. I liked being able to look around and not being bombarded by the salesperson. He was very friendly and asked what type of vehicle I was looking for. He suggested a few models based on my comments and we started to test drive and that's when I fell in love with my Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Once I had decided to make a purchase we went inside to start the paperwork and he told me of different incentives Ford offers for financing. I ended up with 3% financing on my vehicle. I did have to put down some money as "good faith" money but it was only $500. No Kidding! The paperwork did take some time but the whole staff was outstanding. There was never any pressure. Before signing off on the paperwork, I made a call to my insurance company to have them check the average selling cost of my vehicle for that particular area. The lady was shocked and proud to tell me that it was $4,000 under the average price. I was sold and with 3% financing!!!! I absolutely had a fantastic experience.
Wonderful outdoor walking exhibit. The "authentic" church is outstanding with aged artifacts as well as some of the other buildings you are allowed to enter with the guides. My daughter found the beds interesting because of how short they were and how high from the ground they sat. Some of the buildings you were only able to peer in the window or were roped off to maintain the integrity, but you still had a feel of the Norwegian lifestyle. Definitely would recommend seeing this attraction and just make a picnic day out of it.
I grew up in Wisconsin, so I am familiar with what the state has to offer. My kids and I took a one day trip here, it was there first experience with caverns. It was exciting for them both. It is a little chilly, so definitely bring a sweatshirt. My son was smaller then, so I did have to carry him for a good part of the tour. Would recommend for children 7 and up. It was a little challenging having a smaller child with us and I wasn't really able to enjoy our listen to the guide. Would still recommend because anything nature has created is worth seeing.
