Burrito Factory

This is a new location for Burrito Factory and much closer to my home. It's located in Gavilan Plaza on Blossom Hill at Poughkeepsie, in the back of the plaza.
I went in around 11:00am, and it was not too busy. The staff was friendly. I bought a couple of tamales (one pork, one chicken) which came with sauce and cheese for $2.50 each.

Elegant Corner

This little shop is located right next to Lucky on Bernal. This shop has a lot of little knick knacks and crafts. They sell candles, jewelry, Ty products, teapots, embroidered bags, picture frames, and other giftable items. The store is scented with the incense sticks that they sell.

Daily Donuts 2

This donut shop is located behind the Bank of the West building on Cottle and Santa Teresa. They share an entrance with the Hawaiian B.B.Q.

The donut that I tried was fresh. Donut holes were six for seventy-five cents. I asked one customer who had ordered a turkey sandwich on a croissant if it was good, and she said it was, plus a great deal for $2.50. The only drawback for me was there were no chocolate donuts or donut holes, just donuts with chocolate icing.

New Tungkee Noodle House

If you like to eat noodles, then you've come to the right place. There are several Tung Kee Noodle House restaurants in the bay area. They have pretty similar menus. I like to eat the crispy noodles. Fast and inexpensive.

Pacific Cookie Co

I can't remember who told me about this cookie place in Santa Cruz, but I drive over from South San Jose to eat some. They are really delicious and worth the drive.

Jim Nelson Photography

My son started playing in a soccer league for the first time this past fall. Jim Nelson Photography took the soccer team pictures as well as individual photos. Everyone, even some of the players who did not order photos, was given a free team photo. The pictures turned out really well.

Gordon K Kanagaki Inc

Dr. Kanagaki was recommended to me by a coworker who lived in the same area. I think he is a very good dentist, but his prices seem a little bit high. His dental hygienist is also very good.

Kenneth H Ballentine Inc

A friend of mine recommended me to Dr. Ballentine. His office is located in the shopping center near Trader Joe's. Both Dr. Ballentine and his wife (who runs the office) are very friendly and helpful.

La Taqueria

La Taqueria is one of the very best-tasting Mexican restaurants I have eaten at. Since they are in downtown San Jose, they can get very busy during lunch and you may have to wait in a long line. If you have time, it's worth the wait.

Gordon Biersch Restaurant Brewery

I guess everyone pretty much goes to Gordon Biersch to try their garlic fries--after all it is one of the things they are famous for. I don't really care for the alleyway entrance.
