I would have given them zero stars if I could have. This hospital gave me the worst experience at a vet ever. I brought my cat who was very very ill to this hospital because she needed a blood transfusion, something my normal vet couldnt do. The doctors here, specifically Joon Im and Jeff Yu, were condescending, impatient and rude. They act like every question you ask is a waste of their time. When I didn't understand every medical term they used and asked for more clarification they just get EVEN more condescending. Every minute they have to spend talking to you about your pet's condition is a profound annoyance to these two doctors. These doctors couldnt care less about you or your pets and can't even bring themselves to hide it. When I asked for a litter box and food to be keep in her cage at all times (she's in renal failure and very underweight), ALL I GOT WAS A NASTY ATTITUDE. Think of it this way, if they treat YOU so badly, do you really think they will treat your helpless sick pet (who can't tell you if they've been mistreated) any better? All you are to them is a way to make money. And believe me they will exploit every penny out of you that they can because they know how much your pets mean to you. I ended up paying almost $4000 for a 2 day stay that only involved IV fluids, blood transplant and an ultrasound.

For that kind of money I think I deserved a doctor I could trust and who actually cared about my pet and her survival. After having my cat stay here for two days and being treated like an unwelcome relative I was so relieved to be able take her back to my regular vet, the Veterinary Health Care Center in Monterey Park. I feel like my cat is in much much better hands in the care of Dr. Beltran and staff and am only charged a few hundred instead of thousands of dollars per day. Please see my review for more info.

In all honesty, I only dealed with Im and Yu and was very very dissatisfied with both of them. Please dont think I am singling them out because they are the only two asian doctors on the staff, I am asian too. I really dont know if any of the other doctors were any better. The front desk is rude. The vet techs are just ok. I do understand that many pet owners, like me, simply dont have a choice but to come here bc they can do procedures other vets are not set up to do. But if you must come here, make sure you get a doctor you like and trust to do the absolute best to fix your pet. If I could do it again I would have tried to get a referral from my regular vet on which doctor to ask for before I went to all care. You deserve a good, kind, competent doctor for what you will be paying.

Dr. Beltran is hands down the best vet out there. I have tried many vets in the area and all of them were so very disappointing (all care vca and arcadia small animal to name a couple that are especially bad). They simply dont care about you or your pets and dont even bother to hide it. The only thing that matters to those people is how much money they can make off of you. My 18 year old cat had gotten very sick all of a sudden and I had gotten so fed up with the care she was receiving at the Arcadia Small Animal Hospital that I wanted to find a doctor I could trust to take care of my precious cat. I found Dr. Beltran on the recommendation of a friend and have found that he goes above and beyond what anyone could expect from a vet. He stayed past midnight on a friday night to watch over my kitty who was very very sick.

Dr. Beltran, Dr. Odama and the entire staff are knowledgeable, generous, kind and patient. Its obvious that they really do care about you and your pets. They explain everything in clear, easy to understand terms until you understand exactly what is happening to your pet. They give you as much time as you need to when making those difficult decisions. I have never been rushed, been talked down to or pressured to spend money on unneeded procedures. Dr. Beltran is the only vet I will ever take my pets to.
