English Tea Cup

Great atmosphere, great prices, great service, great food and great tea. I also tried something they called teafee, a mixture of tea and coffee which sounds weird, but it was great. They had great crumpets and some of the best scones I have ever had. I was just visiting my family so I won't be able to go back anytime soon, but I know that my family will and I definitely recommend it.

Java Rama Coffee House

Alameda, CA Coffee Shops and Diners 05/22/08: 'A unique place'

This is a coffee shop located a half a block from a Pete's Coffee and a Starbucks. Java Rama was there first and it is still there so that says something about the place that it wasn't driven away by the big names down the street. They have good coffee and great cookies.

Nikkos Restaurant

Oakland, CA Restaurants 05/21/08: 'Good Restaurant'

This is the place that my dad used to take me on the way home from his paper route at 6 am in the morning. It used to be a good place to go for a good breakfast, but that part of town turned into an area that isn't that good hang out so I haven't been there in a while.

Scobies Sports Bar & Grill

This is my go to place when I want to catch a game. It is really more of a sports bar than a bar and grill. They have food, but every time that I have been there there is always more people drinking than eating. On Friday and Saturday nights it turns into a club for twenty-somethings that want to drink and dance.

They have got great chili and great hamburgers. If you put them together it is that much better. The fries are good too and also good if you add the chili to them.

Marti's Place

Alameda, CA Restaurants 05/21/08: 'The best crab sandwiches EVER'

Marti's is a GREAT restaurant. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and I think they are closed all day on Monday. They have GREAT food. I especially LOVE their crab sandwiches. AMAZING. They have got a lot of other great sandwiches too. The breakfast is also very good. This is one of the places that my mom likes for me to take her to when she comes to visit.

This is one of my family's favorite places to eat. They have really good pasta and a great atmosphere. The restaurant overlooks the water and has an aquatic theme. Very cute place.

Toy Safari

Alameda, CA Toys 05/16/08: 'Good store'

Toy Safari is a second-hand toy store with new and used toys who will buy your old toys. They have a good selection of toys and are very careful about what they resell. A great way to recycle those toys that your kids only play with for a couple of months and then outgrow.
