My neighbor recommended Lucas for muffler work. I now know I should have come to this site first, would have learned alot. Okay heres the story: A garage specializing in Hondas replaced my clutch this week. I knew there was also a problem with my muffler/exhaust, so I had them look at this too, was told the muffler did indeed require replacement but the ** rest of the exhaust was fine.** He said he could replace the muffler but recommended having the work done at a muffler shop to save money because he only dealt with Honda parts. (nice guys there at haas). Didn't tell the folks at Lucas this thinking I would see if they'd try to rip me off. They tried. The estimate was for way more than just the muffler. (muffler + additional tail-pipe. total $180. A muffler should run $80-$100 max). My mistake was not knowing they'd charge me $25 for looking at my car. Just one person reading this and choosing to go anywhere other than Lucas Tires on Western ave. and it's worth it. As for my neighbor--he owes me a beer.
