I have had a prepaid phone or a couple of years now. Yes I have had problems. It doesnt work where I live in Holmes Beach, In fact it doesnt work on most of the island. It doesnt work where I work in East Bradenton near Carlton Arms. It doesnt work in upstate New York when I visit friends there. It doesnt work in Vermont when I visit there. It doesnt work most places on the way there either.
It works pretty good around town though. I have complained about the service, but they just say they are working on it. If you call and complain, they say they will call you back, but never do. I have thought about changing to another company, but, I use it for business, and you cant take your number with you on a pre-paid account.
