Worst part about this place is that they allow smoking inside. That right there is a turnoff. Trying to eat while a bunch of people are blowing smoke all around you just doesn't cut it. I couldn't even tell you if the food was any good...the only thing I could taste was tobacco. It was disgusting.
Dagwood's is in the corner of a strip mall on the corner of Sheldon & Memorial. It's on the small side, but they manage to put in quite a few TV's. It's mostly a local hang out, but it's easy to blend in. The food's pretty good, and the prices aren't bad.
The place is very smal, there are 3 or 4 tv's at the bar. The food was average at best. It was very dank. The atomosphere was not very friendly. It seemed more like a local hang out that didn't like outsiders. I wouldn't go back.
I've been here several times. Don't sit in the boothes as soon as you walk in, every time the doors open & close, the smoke from everyone standing right outside the doors having a cigarette wafts in. It's better to the left of the bar. The service can be good, but can also suck. The food is good. The prices are average. There are TV's everywhere, you can pretty much watch whatever game you're looking for. There are 2 pool tables and some video games.
Serenity Now Books & Gifts is a great little gift shop with lots to offer. They offer spiritual classes on a monthly basis. All employees are friendly, knowledgable, attentive and extremely helpful. The email newsletter is a great way to keep up on what's going on.
I am allergic to nickel. If I wear silver, it has to be sterling silver. I was looking for a necklace for a pendant of mine. I wanted a silver rope chain for it. I went to Shalimar while shopping in West Shore Mall. I found the perfect size silver rope chain. They assured me it was sterling silver. I wore it once before my nickel testing kit arrived. My neck itched. When I tested the chain, I found out why. Using a Q-tip, you wipe a liquid onto the metal to see if nickel is present. If there is, the Q-tip turns pink. There was so much nickel in this chain that was supposed to be sterling silver, that not only was the Q-tip completely pink, but the chain turned a little pink. I brought it back, with my receipt, to return it. They refused to give me a refund because there was pink on the necklace. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this store.
Dr. Sporn is wonderful. He is very gentle and has a great bedside manner. He will discuss you concerns with you. However, he doesn't carry malpractice insurance, and the office staff leaves a lot to be desired. They consistantly over charge me for my office visits, don't call with results, even though he tells you you will get a phone call either way. When you do call for results, it sounds like you have totally annoyed whoever is on the other end of the phone. As comfortable as I am with Dr. Sporn, his staff has pushed me to looking for a new ob-gyn.
I felt comfortable with them fixing my car. They didn't try to scare me into unnecessary repairs. The waiting are was clean. The prices were reasonable.
Being a woman, I constantly feel like auto repair shops see dollar signs when I walk in. These guys are great. They didn't talk down to me or make me feel like an idiot. They told me exactly what was wrong with my car, how much it would cost, what could wait until I could afford it, and worked with me. I would highly recommend them to any single female that needs an honest mechanic.
Mom's Place is the place to be for Sunday breakfast or weekly lunch. The food is great and the prices are better. The waitstaff is friendly. They serve breakfast all day (they close at 3:00pm). I've never had a bad meal there.
