This is a local favorite among many because of its vegetarian pizza selection. They only serve one type of pizza a day, and they serve it by the slice. It can be a lot more expensive this way than any local pizza joint, but the pizza is like a specialty because of its fresh vegetables and herbs. The pizza I got was without sauce, a mushroom, artichoke, onions and feta cheese pizza. It was really good. But I don't have the money to eat here very often.
Although the name of this small shop sounds like a gas station, its actually nestled in between some different cafes and bookshops in downtown Berkeley. Along with the normal chips, cookies, and drinks of a convenience store, it also has a great little fresh sandwich section. You can walk up to the counter and they will make your sandwich for you to go. They also have a selection of soups each day. The prices are a lot cheaper than most other freshly made sandwich shops in the area.
Its a cafe type setting, not too fancy. It is a popular Italian place near campus. They have a good variety of dishes for a reasonable price. The chicken alfredo is my favorite and I have gotten it both times I have been there.
Our family has been associated with this mechanic for over a decade. Pat and his crew do honest work. It is the most honest mechanic we have come in contact with. They make sure you know what needs to be done and what needs to be done with your car. The services is personable, friendly, and reliable. We would recommend this mechanic to anyone!
Nice environment for a body shop. The service was very friendly and helpful. The estimate we got was done in a timely manner. They were able to see us for an estimate on our body work without an appointment which was great. We would recommend this body shop based on our experience.
This is a small chinese food cafe in downtown Oakland. It has hot dishes, about 12 to choose from. It is small, but has tables to sit at if desired. Most people seem to get the food to go. It has good selection at a fair price.
Very close to downtown Oakland. It is mainly a snack and sandwich shop. They make the sandwiches when you order them. Competitively priced, but on the high side. For example, $7 for an egg sandwich. Good quality, fresh food.
This is a local favorite for the lunch crowd. It is usually full, but not too busy. You can get a great deal, available everyday, of $4 for all you can fit in a take-out container. They have a wide selection of warm foods and salads. Great deal for lunch!
Nice sandwich shop. Fair pricing, about 7 dollars a sandwich. The food is made right in front of you so it is fresh. They also have free wi-fi. There are a lot of tables and space to relax over a nice lunch.
This roadside shop has the normal snacks, drinks and coffee that most people are looking for. However, I appreciate that they also stock live worms for bait and tackle purposes. They have clear signs when they have the worms that you can see from the road. Not a lot of small markets have this extra specialty.
