This burger joint is small but offers great burgers. They are char grilled with good flavor and fresh vegetables. The meat is all organic fed and sustainably raised. The fries are pretty good too. The art work is a little mismatched but worth looking at for the short time you are there. I would recommend these burgers over most burger chains.
This is a Vietnamese/french restaurant that serves fresh, buffet style food. It has a quaint atmosphere, enjoyable art work, and good service. There is a porch-type feel to the wooden interior that leaves you feeling as if you were in an exotic setting. It is located next to Berkeley campus and yet creates a mature atmosphere, not college hang out type. I would recommend this restaurant for the good food and an enjoyable experience.
This pizza joint is pretty unique. It offers one type pizza a day and it is all vegetarian all the time. You have to buy by the slice, which can get a little pricey if you are buying for a whole lot of people. Also the line can get long if you are waiting for fresh pizza, so be prepared to wait. But the food is worth it!
The selection of paper products in this store will blow you away, if you are a crafty, scrapbooking person. They have an unimaginable amount of prints and colors and textures that leave you a little overwhelmed. However, the prices are reasonable and comparable to what you find in a chain paper store. This is an amazing experience if you are a paper lover!
This property company was fair in letting us go into the property we wanted to see and make an offer on it that day (with the money needed in hand). We appreciated their straight forward information and the fact that they didn't favor other offers over others. We were able to look at the property without having someone present, which we appreciated. This gave us flexibility of times, and also the freedom to discuss openly how we felt without someone breathing down our necks. We thought the staff was very friendly and personable.
However, they transferred the property to another company (gave over or sold out, whichever) without even letting us know it was in the works. We were shocked to know that the people we had signed a lease with, 5 months later, weren't actually going to be our property agents. We felt a little nervous about just being handed over to a company we knew nothing about.
So they were great with personal service, but their business tactics left much to be desired.
Wellington has been very helpful in all our concerns with our rental property. We are able to call and speak to someone directly, most often. Sometimes we leave a message and are called back within 2 days. They take our concerns into consideration and actually get things done! We feel comfortable letting them know if something is broken or could be better and they get it taken care of.
Recently my unit neighbor asked for an extra outside motion light for security reasons. Within 3 days they came out to the property and not only added the extra lighting, but also replaced all our outside lighting without being asked. We appreciated their initiative to make things better and safer for us.
We would recommend them as a property company to rent or buy through.
This coffee spot is eclectic; similar to other coffee shops, yet unique in its own way. It has diverse, but easy to listen to music. The coffee comes in a wide variety. It is mostly organic and stronger than most average brews. The atmosphere is laid back and enjoyable. A unique aspect to this spot is the homemade quiche for sale, usually in two variations, spinach and mushroom, or ham and cheese. The service is very friendly and small in number, so they get to know their regular customers quickly. It is a favorite spot for many people in the area.
