When I was down visiting Orange County a couple of weeks ago, one of my friends introduced me to Cham Ya, the most wonderful Middle Eastern food I'd ever had. I've tasted some Middle Eastern cuisine before, but never like this. The lamb was to die for, succulent, moist and seasoned to perfection. I plan on returning whenever I come home.
JH Ham's Party Productions did my cousin's bridal shower. I gave their name to my aunt after having used them for a company luncheon and they did just as good a job with my cousin's shower as they did for a magazine luncheon for 25.
Flame's Catering did a great job for me. I needed a couple of platters delivered to a suite and they came through with flying colors. The platters were beautifully arranged, the fruits cut and displayed like showpieces and the meats were fresh and delicious. They were a very good choice.
We catered a mixer through Chef David's Catering that was so much fun. Chef David is a wizard with food and was able to create a menu that was casual, unique and delcious. Everyone commented on how good the food was and nobody went home hungry.
The Goodtimes Sub & Deli is a really good place for a sandwich, so good in fact, that I've had them cater parties I've thrown for my job and for my family. The sandwiches they provide are always full of fresh meat and produce with generous portions. Their food has always gone over well.
Silvia's Catering gave me a very competitive bid for a small party I needed to coordinate. They were able to give me just about everything I asked for and at a really good price. The only reason I didn't select them for this particular event was one dish that was a must they couldn't provide. I wouldn't hesitate to have them bid out on other catering jobs that come up.
Catering by Ashley was the solution to a last minute company initiative to kick off the New Year. It was next to impossible to find a catering company that could provide the services I needed at the last minute. Chef Blackburn was a miracle worker and able to meet every last request we threw at him. He's a great chef who was able to please a variety of palates - all within a 2 week notice.
Once was more than enough with the Marina Cafeteria. At first I thought the idea of a 'cafeteria' was on the retro side. The food was mediocre at best and the service was worse. I'm not sure if the girl helping us was new, but she certainly didn't seem to have a clue on correct prices (I was charged $5.65 for a sandwich that was listed at $4.59) or how to give change. This place is best avoided.
Royal Event Gourmet Catering is a very friendly, easy to work with company. They were so professional and down to earth right from the beginning and offered a lot of great suggestions on how to maximize our budget.
The Elegant Fondue was the perfect piece de la resistance for a party I held. I had read about this company online and loved that with one phone call, I could rent a professional fondue display with all the chocolate and fixings. They delivered exactly what they promised and made my job very easy. I highly recommend them.
