Buyer Beware. I came with a friend to purchase her wedding gown. The gown she loved was marked at 50% off and the owner quickly told us that we must have marked the tag because she doesn't mark anything below 30% off. That should have been a major red flag...but the dress looked great and it was a good price (not a steal, but decent). It was a floor sample so there were no tags. The owner wouldn't tell us the dress designer. Should've been another red flag. My friend paid for the gown and arranged to come back for alterations.
Fast forward to final pickup, the back of the gown looks ridiculous...you know, the part that everyone stares at during the whole ceremony. We had pictures of the gown we found online that showed how it should look and the owner refused to adjust the sash to fit my friend's torso. She used a basting stitch to tack up the sides of the sash and then sewed snaps all over the sash to try to keep it in place. If she just would have shortened the sash, all that rigging wouldn't have been necessary. For a professional seamstress, she cannot figure out the best way to alter a wedding gown so that it looks right? I went back with her again to try to figure out the back and try to get it fixed. Waste of time. The owner bolted during our appointment time and of course, the very sweet girls that got left to deal with us have no power to do anything. We left and took the dress to my tailor to have it fixed where I know it will be done correctly and with pride. Manu should be ashamed of the shoddy workmanship that she handed my friend and called a final product. If that is the quality of all of her work, some sewing classes would probably be beneficial.
I wish I could post photos on this review. The last thing anyone needs when planning for a wedding is for the bridal shop owner to refuse to complete proper alterations that, of course, were paid in full prior to the work being done because that is her policy. $350 for alterations should have included altering the sash to fit my friend's torso. Buyer beware.
I love this nail salon. They always take their time and give a great pedicure, you never feel rushed even when they are busy. I've been many times and never had a bad experience. Great place to get your eyebrows done as well!
I purchased a used vehicle from Land Rover Cary today. Ruben was fabulous to work with and the process was quick and painless.
Our hot water heater went out last year and after much research we found out that we needed a direct vent unit that could only be installed by a few companies. Plumbing and Pipe was on the list and came recommended so we used them. They gave us the best deal on a replacement heater and were quick to install. They even came out to look at a "leak" (turned out to be nothing) after the warranty had expired and did not charge us.
Great customer service!
My son loves Gotcha Paintball. It is a little hike to get to the field but the cost to play is reasonable, even for a birthday party. The kids always have a blast and can't wait to get back out there.
This coffee house roasts their own beans making the aroma even more appealing! The coffee is excellent and there is always a buzz about the inside. With couches and tables and soft chairs, it's easy to hang out while you sip your joe!
I love stopping in this shop if I am driving by. They always have a variety of items ranging in price. Whether you are looking for a piece of furniture or an accent piece, you will likely find it at this little antique store.
I love to walk through this place. There is so much stuff it is like you are on a treasure hunt but there are some great finds in here. If you have a vision for antiques this is a great place to search for a special piece.
This shop has absolutely fabulous finds, especially for your nursery. The items are so classy and one of a kind. I love browsing in here for a unique shower gift that will be treasured by the new mom. If you need a very special gift, this is the store for you!
I love taking ghost tours everywhere I visit. Charleston has some of the best ghost stories in the South and this tour does a great job of integrating the history of Charleston with a little bit of mystery! It's definitely a fun thing to do while in Charleston!
