If I had the magical power of not gaining weight, I would eat cream puffs everyday. However, that is not the case, so I end up eating a cream puff every other day. (just kidding..) Anyhow, the outer layer of the cream puff is delightfully fluffy and the filling is heaven with a touch of vanilla! GO GET 'EM!
Star India has a lunch and dinner buffet for $8.99 per person, which isn't a bad deal. The food isn't superb, but it's pretty good for what you're paying. They serve about 8 or 9 different dishes as well as soup and salad. Sometimes it takes awhile for them to refill the food and the naan is soggy at times..
The House is definitely one of my favorite dining spots. The sea bass melts in your mouth and the noodles that come with it are fantastic!!!! I HIGHLY recommend trying this place - you won't be disappointed!
So my boyfriend and I have been wanting to try Coco's for a couple weeks now and finally (unfortunately) tried it this weekend. First off, the service was horrible! It took a couple of minutes for someone to come seat us even though there were a few tables open AND no one brought us a menu - we had to walk up to the register and get them ourselves! After deciding what to get, no one came to take our order and we had to flag someone down after about 10 minutes. We ordered a pound of crawfish and a pound of crab. The crawfish was good, but definitely not worth the $12.99 price tag since they were not filling at all. The crab came about 15 minutes later and we were surprised to see a whole crab since we only ordered a pound. The crab was definitely more tasty and fulfilling than the crawfish. After we finished eating, my boyfriend headed over to the register to pay and we were surprised to find the bill being $60. He asked the waitress why it was so much since we only ordered a pound of crawfish and a pound with crab and she responded with "Oh..we only sell crabs whole and your crab was 2.5 pounds - I didn't tell you that when you ordered?" UH. NO.
We definitely left unsatisfied for what we paid. The only plus was that the corn was really tasty...
The restaurant was pretty full when my boyfriend arrived at PPQ - we got the last open table! The pho was tasty, pretty much what you would expect at a pho restaurant. My boyfriend approved - and he's a VERY picky eater! Cheap and satisfying : )
This store is pretty much a hit or miss. Retail Therapy carries designer items at a discounted price. They have a lot of cute stuff, but sometimes they won't have your size or there might be a button or two missing. They have great sales - I got a cute Theory skirt and Marc Jacobs dress for only $50!!!
Tandor Kitchen has DELICIOUS Indian food. My boyfriend and I always overeat while dining here. We usually get and order of chicken tikka masala, a veggie dish, and another random "let's try something new" dish, as well a plate of rice and two or three orders of naan. amazingly, we always finish it all despite the large amount of food!!!
Racha has pretty good Pad See Ew, but I've had better. It's a good place to stop by for lunch while on campus since the other Thai places around the area aren't that great.
The falafel wrap from Herbivore is tasty, but they were pretty skimpy on the side salad. It's a good place to get food when you want something light and refreshing.
Nail Spa has a nice atmosphere, but sometimes the workers talk loudly in Vietnamese to each other and can get a little distracting. However, they do a pretty good job on my nails and theres a 10% student discount if you have your ID!
