OceanView Terrace
Located on the campus of UCSD, OVT is one of the best dinning halls the school has to offer. The two best things served at OVT are the burritos and the banana wraps. The thing to keep in mind is that OVT is a dinning hall so the food is not great compared to other places.
Lamppost Pizza
The vegetarian pizza at Lamppost Pizza is out of this world. It is covered in lots of avocado, bell peppers onions, and mushrooms. The amount of toppings is unbelievable, but this pizza tends to be very expensive. Another positive thing about this place is it has a great environment for families.
Topper's Pizza Place
I can't explain to you why this pizza is so good it looks no different than any other pizza, but take my word for Toppers makes great pizza. I think that the Toppers is so great because they use fresh ingredients and it makes a world of difference. Also they have some of the best crust around, a nice firm crust only makes a pizza taste that much better.
California Crisp
California Crisp is a good place to get a quick meal. The food is real good and the portions are a good size. My favorite dish Capellini Alla Checca with chicken, it is always very good. One thing about this place though is it tends to be a little expensive for being a fast food type of restaurant.
Julian Coffee House
Local art hangs on the walls of this charming ranch house style restaurant. The place serves a good American style breakfast (eggs, potatoes, toast, bacon). The food is cheap and the company is nice. Not to mention the coffee is also very good.
Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill
I love Sharky's it is quick food and it taste great. My favorite item on the menu is the power plate with chicken, it comes with 12 oz. of high quality chicken and great sides. You would never know that the Sharky's is a fast food restaurant by tasting the food. Sharky's is a must if you like quick Mexican food.
Numero Uno
Numero Uno's pizza is nothing special, it is a step up from normal chain pizza places, but is not quite a specialty pizza. They are known to specialize in olive pizzas, which sounds weird it is true their olive pizza is very good. When it comes to prices they are pretty competitive for the quality of pizza they serve.
Tikka Grill
Tikka Grill may not be the most pack place you have ever been to, but it is not because the food is not good. There is nothing bad to say about this place service is fast, the food is fresh and the food taste good. My own personal recommendation is the tikki chicken with the garlic mashed potatoes, it is so good. It is a must for lunch and the best thing about it is the prices are very competitive.
Catch 21
Catch 21 is not your typical fast food place. Unlike your typical fast food restaurants Catch 21 profits healthier and fresher options. My recommendation is the grilled chicken plate, that comes with boneless skinless chicken, steamed vegetables and a baked potato. One thing to keep in mind though is Catch 21 tends to be more expensive than an average fast food restaurant.
Latigo Kid
Latigo Kid is a great place to eat if you want to get a quick meal, as it is usually not very busy. Also, it is a nice place to carry on a conversation because it tends to be a quite restaurant. When it comes to the food it is nothing special, but I would recommend the chicken burrito.
