PNC Bank
Helpful friendly staff, small town atmosphere, rarely a wait, greeted with a smile like you are someone: adds up to great customer service. And there is always a biscuit for whatever dog I happen to have with me!

PNC Bank
I love small town banking. Everyone is friendly, you are greeted with a smile, and tellers seem like they are happy to see you. Over time, you get to know them all, and I always enjoy stopping. Someone always asks me about business and usually has a biscuit for whichever dog I have brought in. On the rare times when there is a wait, the staff is aplogetic, and thanks you for waiting. I have never had a problem with the banking service.

Saffron Creek
The wonderful scents are what you first notice, walking in the door. Immediately inside you will be caught up in a lovely display of hand crafted soaps, and bath and body products. There are plenty of testers about. Lovely little soap dishes. The kinds of things you love to browse and look at. Dipsplays are very attractive. There is a little of everything in this lovely shop with its` polished wood floors. A cookbook? Why not? Pottery? Yup. Jewelry? That too. A great selection of gift cards. And they are dog lovers too! I love that. Take a peek while in North East.

The Silver Buckle
A nice little boutique on North East Main St. with a good selection of stylish bags, nice looking shoes, jewelry, and other whimsical items. I am a turquoise gal, and found some great earrings for a fair price. Shoes and leather bags are definitely upscale;my feet would never cram into those heeled shoes. On an upnote, they did have fun looking flip flops and lesser priced casual tote bags.
The store is fairly cramped in general, without too much navigation space, especially when other shoppers are present. However, staff are congenial and ready to offer help. Worth a look if you are visiting North East.

Fashion Ality
A very stylish and modern selection of clothing, fine materials, great colors. Sales help is personal and friendly without being overbearing. A nice place to take your time and have a good look around. I visited recently and bought a sleeveless knit hoody vest that flew right off the hangar onto my back. It was the most I have ever paid for a single item of clothing and what I would call an impulse buy. Can`t believe my husband never asked me how much I paid. Clearly, I am not someone who typically shops upscale: the latter is what I would call this boutique. Be prepared to part with some $$$. But, you get what you pay for. If it is Friday or Sat. evening you will have to search for parking in busy North East. Located in the Shoppes of Londonshire, with an ever changing cast of tenants.

St John Gourmet
Menu items with a creative flair, a bit off the trodden and usual path, all very tasty, served promptly and at the correct temperature and visually appealing. The decor is upscale casual, fancy enough you won`t feel out of place in a nice dress. Service is congenial. Parking is easy to find on the street. I like the atmosphere and the food and will definitely go back. Definitely pricier than the average family restaurant, but you get what you pay for.

Mill Creek Medical Assoc
And I do, literally travel to Newark, from Cecil County, to continue seeing my physician of 23 years, Dr. Robert Denitzio. Over the years, he has been instrumental in diagnosing some obscure problems, is patient, professional, listens, and lets you participate. I have never ever felt that he was rushed. He is a proponent of preventive health care and extremely thorough. I like that he is easy to talk to and feel very fortunate that I have had such an excellent Doctor. Appointments generally run on time. The building is a busy one but there is ample parking. The drive up Kirkwood Hwy is busy, but I don`t really care.

Village Imports
I love the premise of this business; dealing directly with native artisans, to cut out middle men, and pay the artists directly for their crafts. If you want unique, unusual and handcrafted items made from sustainable use of rainforests and habitats, this is the place to be. Jewelry, clothing, sandals, Fair Trade coffee, carvings, ornaments, music:they have it all. If you go in and can`t find a gift for someone, there is something wrong. Ample parking down the alley behind the store. Friendly staff, great ambience. Coffee on to sample all the time. MMMM, great chocolate. Have been shopping here for years and never come out empty handed. Prices are very reasonable. Your friends will thank you!

Kollar Nursery
If you are looking for hard to find native plants, this is the place to be. Our entire property is landscaped with native trees, flowers and shrubs from Sharon and Stan Kollars nursery. Although mainly wholesale, they have in past years been happy to accomodate my semi-annual visits. Sharon is a walking encyclopedia of plants and I have learned so much from her. Clearly she is passionate about what she does. It is a delight to wander over the property looking at all the tagged specimens, an education in itself. Prices are very reasonable. Do not look for mature trees; stock is all young. The plants and trees have all flourished, bar none.
If you go, call ahead and expect to do some navigating on a twisty driveway with tucking parking spots.
