Was in the area for the race, when I noticed my check engine light was on. I stopped at the auto part store and turned my car off. I checked my oil and noticed it was real low, for a little auto store they had many types of oil. I asked what type I should buy and the staff was very helpful. I think I paid alot more than your typical auto store, but I really needed it. I'm glad they were there for me when I needed help.
I called the Lakeside Motel to book a room. We were working at the MIS and had to be there very early in the morning. The staff member I talked to was very helpful in finding us a smoke free room. It was just a small motel off the highway and worked great for us. I asked for a wake up call and they said no problem. The price for the night was very reasonable and I would stay there again if needed.
Stopped for breakfast while in the area for the race. They had a nice breakfast special for 4.99. It was plenty to eat and well worth it. It was pretty crowded (due to the race) but was able to recieve our breakfast fairly fast. The staff was friendly.
Had a nice time at the miniature golf course. It was fun, a bit run down but everything was in working order. The course was a little bit to easy but we still had fun. The race track was also alot of fun. The kids were able to race and had a riot. It was a fun day for the family and affordable.
Had a brownie delight at Joey's, it was awesome. It was so big, my husband had to help me eat it. The prices were really good, not like the high prices at dairy queen. There was plenty of items to choose from including burgers and frys. I wish there were more of these ice creams shops around.
Great little place to eat ribs. The home-made bbq sauce was very good, a little spicy for me but well worth it. They also had very good bbq chicken. The chicken meal came with corn on the cob and baked beans. Everything we had was great, including the service and cold beer. I would recommend this place for ribs and beer.
We had lunch at Justins Pizza and ordered a square pizza. It was okay, found the pizza to be not saucy enough. The service was good but I would not recommend the pizza. The prices were also a bit high.
Was in the area for the race and decided to do some shopping. Irish Hills Antiques was a cute little store, with minimal antiques. The prices were really good and I found a good deal on a trunk. I would recommend if your in the area.
Was visiting the in-laws at Canadian Lakes. We had taken my nephew along for the weekend and he cut his foot. We took him to the clinic and got him a few stitches. Thanks goodness they took his insurance and the staff was very nice. (my nephew was a little nervous and they made him feel better). I'm glad they were in the area.
If your looking for a place for a great burger in the Marquette area, stop in here. The burgers are grand and so are the onion rings. The prices were like any other bar. The only thing we had to do was wait awhile for our food and the place was not even crowded. I would still recommend a burger here.
