1980 North Olden Ave
FD Subs is a great alternative to Subway or Quiznos when in the Ewing vicinity. They allow you to choose your sub and then add as many vegetables, cheeses, and dressings that you would like. They have a wider assortment of options compared to Subway as well, with their own versions of the "fat" sandwiches from Grease Trucks in Rutgers. Prices were about the same as Subway but I would highly recommend FD Subs.
Americana Diner & Restaurant
Americana is a little bit overpriced for a diner but the food reflects the money spent. Everything tasted really good and I especially loved the dessert. I highly recommend the tiramasu. The service was a little bit on the slow side but for the most part, I have no complaints. It is located in a great spot near shopping and a major highway so there are no issues in getting there.
Sunny Garden
Sunny Garden has great chinese food for a great price. The location is a little out of the way and hidden from the road but the actual facility itself is beautiful. There is a fountain on the outside and the inside is spotless when it comes to cleanliness. The food tastes really good and when we get it delivered, they are quick and never get the order mixed up or wrong. I definitely recommend.
Cliquers
Cliquers is a great store for clothing apparel for those great party nights. I knew I would find something just from seeing the manequins in the window. The clothing is very affordable and the store is neat. Some of the shirts did not seem to be of the greatest quality but you cannot beat getting a ten dollar shirt that looks a lot more expensive.
Peddler's Village
Definitely go to Peddler's Village on a nice Spring or Autumn day. It is mostly outdoors and the village consists of tiny gift shops that sell items that are good for DIY projects. They also have restaurants and a huge gift shop that resembles a Hallmark, except with three times as many gifts. While Peddler's Village is not that big, you could walk around or just sit and relax on a bench. A lot of people come and walk their dogs there.
East Windsor Carpet One Floor & Home
East Windsor Floor Coverings is located on the corner of Route 130 and 571 and should not be underestimated as a good carpet store. This place has it all. First, the store itself is huge inside and you can look at different hardwood floors, marble, carpets, and more. You could spend hours in this store just looking at all of the different designs and colors. Their prices are comparable to stores such as Worldwide that sell carpet and flooring but this store is never as crowded as Worldwide so you always get individualized attention and full range of every design.
Hershey's Times Square
I love the Hershey's store! It is located right in Times Square so you cannot miss it, and it is also conveniently located right across from the M&M store for competition. I personally like the Hershey store better because they offer a variety of chocolate. Every time I go they have something new to look at. Last time I went they had the dresses from Project Runway where the designers made dresses out of Hershey candy bar wrappers, and it was a sight to see. The prices actually are not that bad and in fact, I bought a tin of Hershey kisses for one of my friends that had pictures of NYC on the outside of the tin. The only con to the Hershey store is that it is very small and it is hard to walk around when it is crowded.
Diana's Hallmark
Diana's Hallmark is always very tidy and well-kept every time I shop there. There are always a couple of sales associates helping out and they are usually able to answer any of your shopping questions. I like the music that plays overhead, it tends to be the promotional CD they are trying to sell but they are all very good. The store itself is very small and since they are a card store, half the store consists of cards. The other half consists of gifts and the store is divided into section based on the type of gift, whether it be for a wedding, birthday, kid, special holiday, etc. The prices are reasonable and always look out for their sales that they have every so often.
Electronics Expo
Electronics Expo has great prices for electronics, which is a breath of fresh air from stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City where the prices are so high. I bought an iPod from Expo two days ago and I got it for twenty dollars cheaper than if I were to buy it from the Apple store, Best Buy, or even Target. Even the accessories for the iPod were cheaper than Best Buy. The store is very tidy and is actually kind of small for an electronics store. The service was very good; there was somebody there to help me as soon as I walked in the door and he was able to answer all of my questions. I would definitely recommend Electronics Expo over other electronic stores.
Eatery At Overlook
The Eatery is located in Overlook Center on Route One and is mainly a cafeteria for those who work in the building. I frequently purchase lunch at the Eatery during my lunch hour, since I work right at the company right next door to it. The food is decent. They will make sandwiches and wraps for you with whatever you want in them, or you could make a salad from their salad bar and pay by the pound. They are a little bit high in price, with most sandwiches being about five dollars, but the sandwich/wrap comes with chips on the side and a pickle. They have a seating area in there, as well, or you could eat outside.
