The first reviewer of Two Dragons may have this restaurant confused with another. The Two Dragons on Van Dyke and 31 Mile Road has been closed for at least the last five years. While we hear it was good in its heyday it has been dark for as long as we have lived here.
The first reviewer may have this great pizza takeout confused with another as it has only one table in the front of the shop used primarily for waiting and is not decorated like little Italy you would have been led to believe. Tomato and Basil's has been a great family run pizza take-out shop in Macomb County for many years. Their pizza is unique in taste and selection. Their antipasto salad is the best. We have not tried any of their other dishes or sandwiches but would expct them to be very good. Their prices are moderate to inexpensive. This is one of the best kept secrets of the area and one we always recommend.
Gim Ling continues to be our favorite neighborhood Chinese restaurant. It's one of those that is worth the drive. We moved from the neighborhood 15 years ago but whenever we are close by we make it a point to stop for lunch or call ahead for a pick-up. Family owned they recently (2007) remodeled. Simple fare, good quality, decent prices and good for families.
Nightingales has been in the Washington/Romeo area for many years. It is a locally owned shop trusted by residents and businesses. The local police department has their patrol cars worked on here. They have a good reputation for knowing the automotive repair business. My recent new brake, new tires, rear axle seal repair and sway bar replacement job for a 2002 Envoy was completed beyond my expectations and the price was fair.
We have had Dynamic Lawn Service for 5 years. They are always prompt, neat and thorough. They have expanded their business on our street just by word of mouth and people seeing their work up close. Every Spring they send out a formal proposal asking what type of services you want for the upcoming year. They offer a full range of landscaping choices. We have had only one instance in 5 years to ask them to come back for a touch-up because of a missed area of cutting. They were back that same day and fixed the problem. They maintain their equipment well and have a well trained staff.
Tom's has been a Washington staple for tree removal for years. We have called Tom to our property three times for large tree trimming and most recently for large tree removal due to storms. Tom's has the staff and equipment to handle any job and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
From the outside you would not expect the type of menu offered. You have choices from sandwiches and burgers to seafood fettuccine with lobster cream sauce to a great Cajun jambalaya. We have eaten at the Old Stone no less than 50 times and have never been disappointed. Everyday a new special is offered or highlighted and the wine list is extensive and well thought out. The bar makes a great Black and Tan. We save this restaurant for more special occasions since it is a bit pricey. Dress ranges from blue jeans to business casual.
A very casual place with a varied menu. Everyday has different specials offered. Good for friends meeting or for family pizza. Moderate price, a good size bar, family run and staffed. Numerous TV's with sports channels usually on. We go three to four times monthly. Parking in back.
