Gold Rush Jewelers
We stopped into Gold Rush a few years ago when we were shopping for my engagement ring. The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgable. They had a nice selection of beautiful jewelry. However, we they did not have an engagement ring with a diamong large than a half carat. They did offer to order it for us, though. I would shop there for jewelry if I were in the market....and the area.
Bear's Den Pizzeria
This used to be Buccilli's Pizza. Much of the menu is the same. They have the same great pizza, cheese sticks and subs. The wait staff is fast and very friendly. It is a clean, well run restaurant with terrific food. I would highly recommend it!
Barrister House Catering
Unfortunately we booked our wedding at Barrister House. We paid extra in cash (as requested) for a premium bar, but never saw a single bottle of premium liquor. They broke our crystal toasting glasses. They switched us into the smaller room at the last minute which crammed our large wedding in too small of a space but allowed a much smaller wedding to have the large room we paid for. The guest tables were served before the wedding party, putting us behind schedule. Some of the guest tables never received a dessert tray.
When we addressed these problems with them, we basically got a shrug of the shoulders. We certainly did not get an apology....or new toasting glasses.
Jacks Waterfront Restaurant
The food and service here is good. I was most impressed with the owner's wife who put on a large fundraiser for the local homeless by herself. She persisted through several doors that were shuut on her because she wanted to give back to the community. She is the reason I visit this restaurant.
Chez Robert Restaurant
This is a quaint little restaurant with good food. I enjoy their crepes the most. The service is good. They can get busy on the weekend mornings so go early or late.
Corky's Surf Shop
You can always find something cool and trendy at Corky's. They have an assortment of clothing (including bathing suits), hats, skateboards, sunglasses, etc. They're return policy is horrible so make sure you really want what you are buying.
Masonic Party Shop
This shop was completely redone recently. I believe there are new owners. It is very nice looking and clean. The owner is very good to the neighborhood elementary school.
Maloof Jewelry & Gifts
I always recommend Maloofs to anyone looking to buy a wedding ring. We bought the diamond for my ring here and were very impressed with everything. The salesman was knowledgeable and did not pressure us. He was also very respectful, which we didn't get at other jewelers because we were young. The diamond was certified and high quality. It was also priced well below other jewelers at that time.
Lopiccolo Lisa M Dds - Lopiccolo Lisa M Dds
Dr. Lopiccolo is very friendly. There are times I have had to go back to have my fillings shaved down more. She brings her kids to work, which I like because it makes it a family friendly environment.
Dionne Michael J Md
My family are patients of Dr. Dionne and have been for years. He is a good doctor who is thorough. He tells it like it is. He is very accessible. You can usually get an appointment the same day if you are willing to wait a but. The office staff is friendly too!
