This fair trade, organic, local echo friendly cafe has something for everyone. The diverse menu has been enjoyed by our meat eater, vegan, adults, and children. The children's menu has everything our grandchildren want and they ate every bit of the peanut butter sandwich, mac and cheese and fruit. The local grass fed beef burger was excellent. The wraps are large and delicious. We enjoyed eating and then, being able to relax in the coffeehouse atmosphere. We liked being able to recycle and knowing that the local farmers used the resulting compost. This new establishment will only improve over time.
In my opinion New York pizza is the best. I don't know whether it''s the water or what but none can compare. The original Gino's in Long Beach has been making the best New York pizza for over 50 years. Thin crust, proper amount of cheese and sauce, and cooked to perfection. You can have it plane, or with a multitude of topping, However you choose, you'll love it! My husband and I have been returning to Gino's for a slice or a pie since we attended high school in the early 60s.
Heaven on earth. If you like soft ice cream you must go to Marvel. Their ice cream is delicious. The perfect recipe - not to light, not to heavy, just right. The have pistachio, strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, they have twists, and sprinkles and chocolate and cherry dip and crunches. They've been in the same location for over 50 years and I've been indulging for about that long.
If you've ever lived on long Island or still do, and ever eaten a range burger at the long gone 'Texas Ranger' than Billy's Beach Cafe is a must! They make a range burger almost as good as the original. It's a burger (a little bigger than the original), with cole slaw and the special ranger burger sauce that we all remember. It comes with fries and is yummy. A toasted bun and a little extra sauce and I'd give it five stars.
